Toby Kebbell is in talks to join Liam Neeson and Sigourney Weaver in A MONSTER CALLS. The fantasy adaptation centers on a young boy who loses himself in an imaginative world he creates full of monsters and fairies to deal with bullies at school and his mother’s illness. Felicity Jones stars as the ailing mom, while Neeson has been cast as the “monster.” The film is based on the novel written by Patrick Ness.
British actor Kebbell is known for playing Garsiv in 2010’s “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time,” as well as Agenor in “Wrath of the Titans.” More recently, he appeared in Ridley Scott’s “The Counselor” and “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” where he played Koba, one of the apes close to Caesar. Kebbell’s next projects include “Warcraft,” where he’ll star opposite Paula Patton, and “The Fantastic Four,” which finds Kebbell cast as the villainous Doctor Doom.
Kebbell is repped by CAA and Independent Talent Group.
