Tom Cruise has attached himself (as he’s wont to do) to YUKIKAZE, based on the sci-fi novel by Chohei Kambayashi. Story follows a lone space-pilot (presumable Cruise) fighting an endless war against an alien horde who begins to question the validity of the war and the intentions of the foes he’s trying to destroy.
Producing will be Erwin Stoff and Tom Lassally. The project still appears to need a writer.
This marks sci-fi project #29,871 that Cruise has joined, which includes, “Oblivion”, “All You Need Is Kill” and “Our Name Is Adam”. Cruise was last seen in the incredibly awesome “Jack Reacher” which criminally underutilized Werner Herzog as a villain. He will be seen next in “Oblivion” which debuts (in the US) this friday.
He is repped by CAA.
