Tom Wilkinson is preparing to join Sam Worthington and Ruth Wilson in Lennart Ruff’s elevated sci-fi pic THE TITAN. Ruff directs the film, based on a story by Arash Amel and from a script by Max Hurwitz. Wilkinson’s role is kept under lock and key, though he’ll round out a cast consisting of Worthington, Wilson, and Kingsman star Sofia Boutella, who recently joined the Charlize Theron thriller The Coldest City.
Set in the not too distant future, The Titan follows a military family who are relocated in order to take part in a new experiment in deep space. Leon Clarance and Motion Picture Captial produce and finance. Brian Kavanaugh-Jones’ Automatik, Ben Pugh and Rory Aitken’s 42 and Amel are also producing.
Wilkinson, who just wrapped on the caper comedy Bone in the Throat, has Oliver Stone’s Snowden and Lionsgate’s Nicholas Sparks drama The Choice in the can. He’ll next shoot the dramedy Carrie Pilby, which also stars Bel Powley, Eddie Izzard, Jason Ritter, and Vanessa Bayer.
He’s repped by Gotham/Principal and Lou Coulson Associates.
