Why to Read: | If there was ever a pilot that could get you to change your mind about westerns, and particularly ones with a supernatural bent, it’s this one. Not only does this script deliver on a perfect set up for a procedural drama, but it’s also a whole lot of fun. The writer has some really great instincts and they do a nice job of wrapping up the threat while efficiently introducing the characters and town, all in the first episode. The style and tone of the series are laid out clearly over the course of it, and you get a good sense of what every episode that follows will look like – and it will keep you wanting more. |
