Tommy Lee Jones is set to star alongside Kevin Costner and Gary Oldman in CRIMINAL. The action/thriller centers on a dead CIA operative, whose memories, secrets and skills are implanted into an unpredictable and dangerous prison inmate in the hope that he will complete the operative’s mission. Jones has been cast as the neuroscientist who transplants the memories. Douglas Cook and David Weisberg penned the script, which will be directed by Ariel Vromen.
Jones and Costner have worked together before, both starring in Oliver Stone’s 1991 drama/thriller “JFK.” More recently, Jones starred in indie western “The Homesman,” teaming up with Hilary Swank to star as a claim jumper who escorts three insane women from Nebraska to Iowa. Jones also wrote the script for his upcoming Warner Bros. western, “The Cowboy,” which he’s also attached to direct.
Jones is repped by CAA.
