Tony Revolori, known for his breakout role in Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel, is set to join the cast of SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING.
Revolori will join the growing cast of the Marvel-Sony co-production that includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Marisa Tomei. He will play Peter Parker’s (Holland) rival in high school — but he will not be a villain. It was rumored earlier this week that Michael Keaton is circling the role of the big baddie in the movie.
Jon Watts will direct the reboot with a script written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal will serve as producers. The movie will be released on July 7, 2017.
Since appearing in Grand Budapest Hotel, Revolori has appeared in Rick Famuyiwa’s critically acclaimed Dope as well as the movie adaptation of the YA novel, The 5th Wave. He can be seen next in the Duplass Brothers-penned ensemble dramedy, Table 19 and the drama Lowriders.
He is repped by UTA.
