Tracy Morgan In Talks To Play Redd Foxx In Richard Pryor Biopic


tracy-morgan-1 is looking to add to his Richard Pryor biopic. Morgan is in talks for the role of comedian Redd Foxx. 

Morgan would star opposite Mike Epps as Pryor, as well as Kate Hudson, Eddie Murphy, Taraji P. Henson, and Oprah Winfrey. 

In the project, Foxx is depicted as a brash comedian who owns a local comedy club and encourages Pryor to open up in his act and embrace his culture. Foxx is best known to the public for his in the sitcom Sanford And Son, which ran from 1972-1977 on NBC.

Morgan is best known for his work on Saturday Night Live and the Tina Fey-created 30 Rock. He was forced to take an extended break from working after being seriously injured in 2014 after the limo he and several other comedians were in was struck by a Walmart truck. 

His last role in theaters was in Chris Rock’s Top Five and he will next be seen opposite Ice Cube and Charlie Day in New Line’s Fist Fight.
