Tracy Morgan is back in the game. The comedian is currently in talks to join Ice Cube and Charlie Day in the upcoming comedy, FIST FIGHT. Richie Keen is directing a script by Van Robichaux and Evan Susser, and Shawn Levy is producing with Max Greenfield and John Rickard, while Day is executive producing with Dan Cohen, Marty Ewing and Billy Rosenberg.
Fist Fight will follow a timid teacher (Day) who is challenged to a fist fight by a fellow educator (Cube). Dean Norris will be playing the school’s principal, and Workaholics’ Jillian Bell will play the guidance counselor.
If Morgan signs on for this (as-of-yet undisclosed) role, it will be the first film that he has taken part in since he was seriously injured in an car accident in June 2014. The actor has made a miraculous recovery, proving his progress by walking up on stage during yesterday’s Primetime Emmy Awards to a standing ovation. He is repped by CAA.
