Whitney Cummings’ THE FEMALE BRAIN has added James Marsden, Lucy Punch, and Toby Kebbell. They join previously Sofia Vergara, Cecily Strong, Beanie Feldstein, Blake Griffin, Xosha Roquemore, Chris D’Elia, and Deon Cole in the comedy based on the book by Louann Brizendine.
The film centers on couples who demonstrate the workings of primal neurology in their romantic relationships and focuses on five couples who are struggling with each other – whether its commitment issues, parents, or simply admitting to being useless around the house.
Cummings is set to star and helm the project, in addition to adapting the book with Neal Brennan. Black Bicycle Entertainment is financing, with Erika Olde and Night and Day Pictures’ Michael Roiff producing.
Kebbell stars in the upcoming Ben-Hur remake opposite Jack Huston, Kong: Skull Island, and A Monster Calls.
Marsden stars in the highly anticipated HBO series Westworld and in Rob Reiner’s drama Shock and Awe. He is best known for playing Cyclops in Bryan Singer’s X-Men films.
Punch was last seen guest starring on Fox’s New Girl and on screen in The Meddler. She has previously been seen in Into The Woods and will next be seen in You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger.
Marsden is repped by CAA and Authentic Talent and Literary.
Punch is repped by CAA, MGMT Entertainment, and United Artists in the UK.
Kebbell is repped by CAA and Independent Talent Group.
