Matt Cook, the writer of the upcoming John Hillcoat helmed thriller “Triple Nine” has been hired to adapt the new crime thriller THREE SECONDS for New Regency and the Shine Group. The project, which follows an ex-con, working undercover for the police, who is sent into a maximum security prison to break a criminal organization’s stranglehold on amphetamine dealings on the inside, is based on the novel of the same name written by Anders Roslund and Bonge Hellstrom. Cook, has made quite a name for himself right out of the gate, by landing two scripts in two years on Hollywood’s coveted Black List (“By Way Of Helena” and the previously mentioned “Triple Nine”) and breaking the top ten on TB’s very own 2010 Hit List.
