Australian actor Thomas Cocquerel has been cast in a series regular role for ABC’s pilot GET CHRISTIE LOVE. The series centers on Christie Love (Kylie Bunbury), an African American female CIA agent who leads an elite ops unit. Cocquerel will play Adam, one the youngest team members of Christie’s counter-intelligence unit. The character is described as “smooth and just a bit cocky.”
The Fosters‘ Chris Warren has booked a series regular role on ABC drama pilot GRAND HOTEL. The soapy drama set against the backdrop of a Miami Beach hotel centers on the family who owns the business, the staff who run it and the explosive secrets they hide under the perfect exterior. Warren will play Jason. Kind, funny and friends with everyone on the hotel staff, he’s worked as a waiter at the hotel since his teens, as his mother is the staff manager.
House of Cards‘ Alexander Sokovikov has joined the series regular cast of ABC’s drama pilot STATIES. The series centers on Eliza Cortez (Annie Ilonzeh), a hard-charging NYPD detective who’s banished to the boonies after a high-profile mistake and is paired with a new partner, Oregon State Trooper Sam King (Andy Karl). Sokovikov will play Senior Trooper Yuri Kinbote, a gruff Russian trooper who’s skeptical of the new statie in town.
The Originals‘ Christina Moses is set as one of the leads in ABC’s ensemble drama pilot A MILLION LITTLE THINGS. The hourlong drama with comedy elements centers on a group of friends who, for different reasons and in different ways, all are stuck in their lives. Moses will play Regina Howard. A talented chef with dreams of opening her own restaurant one day, Regina is living proof that there’s nothing stronger in this world than a determined woman. She and her husband Rome (Romany Malco) have the marriage we all want for ourselves but this bond will be tested as she helps her husband confront his depression.
Former Psych star James Roday has been tapped as a lead in ABC’s ensemble drama pilot A MILLION LITTLE THINGS. Roday will play Gary who is known for his deflective humor, a habit of sleeping with everyone, and complete control over his emotions.
Caleb Foote (American Crime Story: The Assassination of Giani Versace), Christopher Paul Richards (Me, Myself & I) and Jack Gore (Electric Dreams)have booked series regular roles in ABCs untitled single-camera comedy pilot. Foote will play Eddie, Richards will portray Joey, and Gore will portray Timmy.
The Flash‘s Violett Beane is set as the female lead in the CBS pilot GOD FRIENDED ME. The series is being described as a humorous and uplifting story that explores questions of faith, existence, and science. Beane will play Cara Weiss. Confident, compelling and quick-witted, Cara is a leading writer at an online magazine. Battlestar Galactica alum Michael Trucco is set as a series regular in CBS drama pilot CHIEFS. The series explores the professional and personal lives of three driven, successful but very different women, who are each Chiefs of Police of their own precincts in L.A. County. Trucco will play Detective Keele, who works closely with Chief of Police Kendra Downes (Aunjanue Ellis) – and they go way back. A seasoned professional, he’s sharp as a tack and devoted to the job. He has his opinions and he’s not afraid to share them.
Leonard Roberts (Major Crimes) and Australian actress Andrea Demetriades (Pulse) have been cast as series regulars in CBS drama pilot MURDER. Roberts will play Assistant District Attorney Malachi Sandel, a talented, charismatic homicide prosecutor whose persuasive skills and charm extend from the courtroom to his active social life. But a new case, coupled with a new romantic interest, has him questioning his choices in work and in life. Rhyon Nicole Brown (Surviving Compton) and Porscha Coleman (You Can’t Fight Christmas) are set for recurring roles on the fourth season of Fox’s hit hip-hop drama series EMPIRE. Brown will play Maya, the daughter of Poundcake, Cookie’s (Taraji P. Henson) fellow inmate. Maya was born in prison, stolen from her mother’s arms, and adopted by upper-middle-class parents. A classically trained dancer, she’s beautiful, graceful, and headstrong. Coleman will portray Mercedes, Porsha’s (Ta’Rhonda Jones) sexy and ambitious cousin. Dexter alumna Jennifer Carpenter and former Rosewood star Morris Chestnut are set as the female and male leads in NBC’s drama pilot THE ENEMY WITHIN. The character-driven investigative thriller is set in the world of counterintelligence. It focuses on former CIA agent Erica Wolfe (Carpenter), the most notorious traitor in modern history and most hated woman in America, who is brought out of a federal supermax prison by the FBI to help stop some of the most dangerous acts of espionage threatening the United States today. Chestnut will play Will Keaton, an FBI counter-intelligence agent who had brought down the traitor Erica Wolfe and whose fiancee had been murdered as a result of Wolfe’s activities.
Freddie Stroma (UnReal) and Joey King (Fargo) have been tapped as the leads in the CW supernatural cop drama pilot DEAD INSIDE. After surviving an explosion that killed her hotshot detective big brother, Zach Gates (Stroma), Emmy Gates (King), an underachieving beat cop, starts seeing his ghost, flipping their sibling dynamic on its head and allowing her to truly live her life for the first time, as they work together to help crime victims both living and dead, and figure out the unfinished business keeping his spirit on Earth.
