Marla Gibbs will have a multi-episode arc on STATION 19, ABC’s upcoming Grey’s Anatomy spin-off that follows a group of heroic firefighters. From the captain to the newest recruit, the show revolves around the men and women as they risk their lives and hearts both in the line of duty and off the clock. Satisfaction star Stephanie Szostak has been cast as the last remaining female lead in ABC’s ensemble drama pilot A MILLION LITTLE THINGS. The series follows a group of friends who, for different reasons and in different ways, all are stuck in their lives. When one of them dies unexpectedly, it’s just the wake-up call the others need to finally start living. Szostak will play Delilah who pushes through after her husband’s death for the sake of her children.
Covert Affairs‘ Peter Gallagher has been tapped for a co-starring role in CBS’ legal drama pilot MAIN JUSTICE. Gallagher will play President Whitbeck, The President of the United States. President Whitbeck feels good about newly sworn-in Attorney General and is happy to finally have a real cop in the position. However, when Miles makes some unorthodox decisions that have far-reaching effects on the President’s domestic and international agendas, he begins to have some reservations about his pick for AG.
Michael Trevino has been cast in ROSWELL, the CW’s pilot that acts as a reboot of the cult sci-fi series. Trevino will play Kyle Valenti, the popular son of the town sheriff who questions his carefree outlook on life after learning the terrifying truth of his family’s legacy.
BET has added to the cast of THE BOBBY BROWN STORY, the two-part miniseries starring Woody McClain as the veteran R&B singer. Mekhi Phifer, Lil Rel Howery, T.K. Carter, Laz Alonso, Lance Gross, Alyssa Goss, and Sandi McCree join the cast. Phifer (Frequency) plays Tommy Brown, Bobby’s brother. Howery (The Carmichael Show) is Brian Irvine, Bobby’s business manager. Carter (The Corner) plays Herbert “Pops” Brown, Bobby’s father. Alonso (The Mysteries of Laura) is Louil Silas Jr, an MCA producer-executive who helps make Bobby a solo star. Gross is set as Steven Sealy, a childhood friend of Bobby’s who is killed in a gunfight after hanging with him at a hometown bar. Goss plays Bobby’s current wife, Alicia Etheridge, and McCree will reprise her New Edition Story as Bobby’s mother Carole Brown.
