Drama pilot SALAMANDER has booked Larenz Tate to star opposite Allison Miller. It centers on Ethan, a brilliant but misanthropic engineer who recruits a skeptical Homeland Security psychiatrist, Nora, to help him track a mysterious bank robber whose theft of 66 specific safety deposit boxes, belonging to the elite and powerful, sets in motion a series of blackmails that might be linked to a greater conspiracy. Tate will play Ethan.

NASA drama MISSION CONTROL has tapped Levi Fiehler for a series regular role. It revolves around the next generation of NASA astronauts and scientists who juggle their personal and professional lives during a critical mission with no margin for error. Fiehler has been cast as Izzy, an intense “propeller head” who looks like he thinks in computer code (and does).

Sheldon Turner’s untitled university thriller has tapped ER alum Anthony Edwards to joins previously cast Archie Panjabi, Austin Stowell, Rita Wilson, and Erin Moriarty. The drama centers on Stowell as Matt Kincaid, the Junior Counsel of a prestigious Illinois university who must deal with an out-of-control scandal when a female student, Cassie (Moriarty) accuses several star football players of sexual assault. Edwards has been cast as Darwin Conn, the fastidious President of the University who is Matt’s boss and mentor.

X-Files-esque half hour GHOSTED has netted Adeel Akhtar for a series regular role. It centers on a cynical skeptic and a genius “true believer” in the paranormal who are recruited by the bureau Underground to look into the rampant “unexplained” activity in Los Angeles – all while uncovering a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race. Akhtar has been cast as Barry, a cocky, condescending, brilliant doctor who is the smartest and, in his mind, most handsome dude in the room.

How I Met Your Mother star Josh Radnor is set to topline DRAMA HIGH alongside Auli’i Cravalho and Shannon Purser. The pilot is based on the book by Michael Sokolove and is inspired by a true story. It revolves around a working-class high school drama department and the students who come alive under a passionate teacher and family man whose dedication to the program galvanizes the entire town. Radnor has been cast as Lou, a left-of-center leading man who has to discover his own passion, drive, and charisma.

Comic book adaptation PREACHER has added Noah Taylor, Pip Torrens, and Julie Ann Emery in series regular roles for season two, and Malcolm Barrett, Ronald Guttman, and Justin Prentice are joining in recurring roles. The show stars Dominica Cooper as Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by the renegade spawn of an angel and demon and gains the power to control people with just a word.

Lord of the Rings star Sean Astin is set to tackle Theodore Roosevelt in the years prior to his presidency in THE ALIENIST. The project is based on the book of the same name by Caleb Carr and is set in the Gilded Age of New York City in 1896, a time of vast wealth, extreme poverty, and technological innovation. It follows a series of haunting, gruesome murders of boy prostitutes that grips the city, at which time Roosevelt calls upon criminal psychologist Dr. Laszlo Kreizler and newspaper illustrator John Moore to conduct a secret investigation.
