The series revolves around former prosecutor Maya Travis, who, after losing the biggest case of her career and being shredded by the media, has left Los Angeles to confront him one more time. Will she play by the rules, or will she do whatever it takes to get him behind bars? She is represented by CAA.
STEPS has cast Kyle Bornheimer to star opposite Ginnifer Goodwin. The pilot is based on the Swedish format Bonus Family and centers around four adults in three houses raising three kids after two divorces – together. Bornheimer will play Paul, a conflict-averse romantic with a quick wit who is newly married to the free spirit Bea. Paul is eager to be free from his bully of an ex-wife and to start parenting and living, his own way. Bornheimer is represented by Gersh.
Former Vampire Diaries star has landed a starring role in the CBS comedy pilot FAM from Corinne Kingsbury, Kapital Entertainment, and CBS TV Studios. The show stars Dobrev as Clem, a woman whose younger half-sister, Shannon, comes to live with her and her fiance to escape their train wreck of a father. Walking Dead grad Austin Nichols has been tapped to star in the drama pilot IN THE DARK opposite Perry Mattfeld, Brooke Marham, and Keston John. He’ll play Dean, a salt-of-the-earth cop who is called in to investigate when Murphy (Mattfeld) claims she has discovered Tyson’s dead body in an alley. He’s put on the case because he has a blind daughter, and it’s thought that he may be sensitive to Murphy’s situation. He is represented by UTA and Silver Lining Entertainment.
Sarah Wright Olsen has joined Matt Barr and Ben Aldridge in the pilot SKINNY DIP. The project is based on the novel by Carl Hiaasen and revolves around a woman who, after her husband tries to kill her on what she thought was a romantic cruise to celebrate their second wedding anniversary, teams with a jaded ex-cop to exact her own twisted brand of revenge on her cheating spouse. She winds up uncovering a wider conspiracy in the process. Olsen will star as Joey, who lives off a substantial trust fund from her deceased parents and a huge life insurance policy from her deceased former fiance. Mad Men‘s Vincent Kartheiser and Rachelle Lefevre have booked starring roles in David Elliott and Danny Strong’s untitled legal drama. The series follows Lefevre as Madeline Scott, a fierce and fearless lawyer with a hunger for justice that leads legal team that reopens investigations, putting their own lives in danger to exonerate the innocent that were “proven” guilty. Kartheiser will star as Bodie Quick, the intrepid, scrappy, and endearing investigator for the firm. Lefevre is represented by Gersh and Pearl Hanan Management.
