Bill Paxton has signed on for a lead role in the CBS movie-to-TV reimagining of TRAINING DAY. The film version starred Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke. The series is set 15 years after the film left off in which an idealistic young African American police officer, Kyle Craig, is appointed to an an elite squad of the LAPD where his is partnered with seasoned and morally ambiguous detective Frank Rourke (Paxton).

Judy Greer has booked the lead role in Laura Steinel’s untitled comedy pilot from Fox. The Jurassic World actress stars as Jane, the over-used and under-appreciated head of H.R. for a plastic molding plant, who is caught between trying to manage her charmingly incompetent human resources department and a new eccentric CEO who dreams of bringing the New Jersey plastics plant into the future.
Greer is repped by Principato-Young Entertainment and CAA.
THE INTERESTINGS have added David Krumholtz, Ed Squires, Jance Enslin, and Katie Balen to the Amazon Series. Penned by Lyn Greene and Richard Levine and directed by Mike Newell, the drama is based on Meg Wolitzer’s novel about a group of friends who meet at an arts camp when they’re 15 in 1974 and chronicles their relationships throughout the next three decades dealing with the great expectations of youth and the realities life hands you as you get older.

T.R. Knight has joined the cast of Meaghan Oppenheimer’s untitled drama pilot for ABC and executive produced by Reese Witherspoon. Knight is best known for starring in ABC’s juggernaut medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. He currently co-stars on Hulu’s 11.22.63.
Knight is repped by Thruline and Gersh.
Jameela Jamil has won a role in Mike Schur’s NBC series GOOD PLACE. She joins Kristen Bell, Ted Danson, and William Jackson Harper. This is an acting debut for Jamil who is best known at a British TV personality having hosted Channel 4’s T4 and Radio 1’s Official Chart.
Jamil is repped by UTA and 3 Arts Entertainment.
FOUR STARS has tapped Ana Cruz Kayne for the CBS drama pilot. The series centers on two powerful rival families in the military community of Tampa, Florida who make decisions at the highest levels in the interest of national security. Kayne will play Syd, the daughter of General Rodriguez who is a foreign policy wunderkind.
She is repped by Innovative Artists and Industry Entertainment.
BUNKER HILL hospital has staffed Reshma Shetty as Dr. Talaikha Channarayapatra, described as insanely dedicated, quietly fearless, and maddeningly literal. The series from jason Katims and David Semel previously cast Augustus Prew and Dermot Mulroney.
Shetty is repped by Innovative Artists and Station 3.
Nathalie Kelley has joined CRUEL INTENTIONS, NBC’s sequel series to the 1999 cult film starring Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe. She joins previously cast Taylor John Smith and Sarah Michelle Gellar who will reprise her role from the film.

THE INFAMOUS, A&E’s hip-hop crime drama pilot, has cast newcomer Michelle Mitchenor. The series revolves around two complicated men on a collision course: an ambitious reformed gangster poised to break out of South Central and the LAPD detective hell-bent on taking him down.
Mitchenor, who was seen earlier this year in Chi-Raq as Indigo, is repped by Luber Roklin Entertainment and MMV.
Lenny Jacobson has enlisted for FREQUENCY, the Toby Emmerich-based sci-fi thriller from Supernatural‘s Jeremy Carver for the CW. He joins previoulsy cast Peyton List and Riley Smith.
Jacobson is repped by Greene & Associates Talent Agency and Pallas Management Group.
Isiah Whitlock Jr. and Dan Gill have joined the Courtney Cox-starrer CHARITY CASE penned by Robert Padnick. The Fox comedy follows Cox’s Hailey, who inherits her late billionaire husband’s charity and quickly finds that changing the world is far less glamorous than she had imagined.
Whitlock is repped by Liebman Entertainment and CornerStone Talent Agency. Gill is repped by CAA and Brillstein Entertainment.
