Thriller drama DOOMSDAY has landed Claire Holt for the lead role. The series starts in the aftermath of 9/11, when the U.S. government institutes a secret think tank featuring the most creative minds in science and entertainment that is tasked with dreaming up man-made disaster scenarios and their possible solutions. Because the hypothetical ideas are deemed extremely dangerous, the list is sealed and the program shut down. But when a catastrophe occurs that’s ripped from the pages of the missing doomsday book, the team is brought back years later to prevent the disasters of their own making. Holt has been cast as Kayla, the newest member of the Doomsday project. Considered the best cyber security analyst in the country, she’s efficient, irreverent, and no particularly interested in making friends.

Daniella Alonso has boarded LAS REINAS in the lead role. Alonso has been cast as Detective Sonya De La Reina who is forced to confront her past when a case compels her to reconnect with her estranged family – the most powerful criminal outfit in Miami. Thrust back into the world she thought she had left behind, Sonya must walk the murky line between the law and her family, and question her true destiny as a De La Reina.

Big Bang Theory prequel, SHELDON, has booked Iain Armitage and Zoe Perry. The show centers on the young version Sheldon, played currently by Jim Parsons, and is described as Malcolm in the Middle with a young Sheldon. Armitage will play the title character and Perry will play his mother.

Star Trek into Darkness actor Alice Eve has boarded the single-camera comedy HANNAH ROYCE’S QUESTIONABLE CHOICES. She will star as Hannah Royce, who has made some interesting choices throughout her life – namely, having three different kids with three different men – but all have led her to having a very unique, loving, blended family.

Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s DYNASTY reboot have booked Grant Show to take over original series role Blake Carrington. John Forsythe played the part during the original series run. The primetime soap follows two of America’s wealthiest families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, as they feud for control over their fortune and their children. The new incarnation centers on two women at odds: Fallon Carrington, the daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington, and her soon-to-be stepmother, Cristal, a Hispanic woman marrying into this WASP family and America’s most powerful class.

King of Queens star Leah Remini and Jessica Gunning are set to headline What About Bob? remake WHAT ABOUT BARB? The project centers around a psychotherapist who tries to cut ties with her most overbearing patient but is unsuccessful and gains an annoying family member in the process. Remini has been cast as the psychotherapist, Suzanne, and Gunning will play Barb.

Dwayne Johnson’s sci-fi thriller LIFELINE has booked Zach Gilford and Sydney Park to star. The series is set in the not-too-distant future about a little-known life insurance company that sends its agents forward 33 days in time to prevent the accidental deaths of its clients. Gilford plays the company’s best agent, Conner Hooks, who has never missed a save – until he takes on the most personal case of his life. When sixteen-year-old Norah, played by Park, is orphaned on his watch, Conner pledges to protect her, even if that means putting his career at Lifeline – or his own life – in jeopardy.
