Marc Cherry and Reba McEntire’s untitled drama pilot has tapped Roslyn Ruff to star opposite McEntire. The pilot stars McEntire as Ruby Adair, the sheriff of colorful small town Oxblood, KY, who finds her red-state outlook challenged when a young FBI agent of Middle Eastern descent is sent to help her solve a horrific crime. Ruff has been cast as Inez Winemiller, a jolly church lady who runs the local bed and breakfast.

UNIT ZERO has landed Dana Powell for a series role. Toni Collete stars as Jackie Fink, a brilliant but unassuming CIA engineer and single mom, as she leads a team of desk jockeys into the field as secret agents. Powell has been cast as Midge, a 35-year veteran of the CIA and Jackie’s loyal friend.

Drama pilot PERFECT CITIZEN has added Shanley Caswell, Adrienne Warren, and Stephanie Szostak in series regular roles. The show centers on Deck, the former general counsel for the NSA who, after his involvement as a whistleblower in an international scandal, embarks on a new career at a storied law firm in Boston. Once there, he must face the reality that half the country thinks he’s our greatest patriot and the other half thinks he’s a traitor. Caswell has been cast as Viv, Deck’s daughter. Warren will play Ingrid, Deck’s deputy at the NSA. Szostak is set as Tess, one of two female partners at the law firm.

O.C. alum Alan Dale is joining Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s DYNASTY reboot. The new version follows two of America’s wealthiest families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, as they feud for control over their fortune and their children. The series will be told primarily through the perspectives of two women at odds: Fallon Carrington, daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington, and her soon-to-be stepmother, Cristal, a Hispanic woman marrying into this WASP family and America’s most powerful class. Dale will play the family butler, Anders.

The Good Wife‘s Dallas Roberts and Sarah Colonna have netted roles in INSATIABLE from Lauren Gussis. The project was inspired by real-life Southern lawyer and top beauty pageant coach Bill Alverson and centers on Roberts as Bob, a disgraced, dissatisfied civil lawyer-turned-beauty pageant coach who takes on Patty, a vengeful, bullied teenager as client, and has no idea what he’s about to unleash upon the world. Colonna has been cast as Patty’s mother, Angie, a sexy (almost Miss Georgia, back in the day), alcoholic single mom.

Bryan Singer’s untitled Marvel pilot will be joined by Coby Bell. The pilot stars Stephen Moyer and Amy Acker as parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive. Bell will play Jace Turner, a weathered man who quietly wrestles with the moral ambiguities of a job that regularly requires cold-blooded, calculating efficiency on a day-to-day basis.

Jessica Jones‘ Erin Moriarty has boarded the untitled university thriller drama starring Archie Panjabi, Austin Stowell, and Rita Wilson. The project centers on Matt Kincaid, the Junior Counsel of prestigious Illinois university who must deal with an out-of-control scandal when a female student, Cassie (played by Moriarty) accuses several star football players of sexual assault. Kincaid gets to work with Jourdan Price, a crisis management consultant brought in to help with scandal. From the football coaches and boosters who wield outsize influence, to a university administration under siege, the series explores the high-profile controversy as well as the corrosive, dangerous nature of institutional power.

Lauren Graham-starrer LINDA FROM HR has tapped Tim DeKay and Zachary Knighton to star. The project sees Graham as Linda Plugh. All it takes is one bad decision to throw Linda from HR’s monotonous, unfulfilled life into an exciting but dangerous tailspin of balancing work life, home life, and a secret that could unravel everything. DeKay has been cast as Linda’s husband Dan Plugh, an average guy who can’t help but win people over. Knight has been cast as Alan, an accountant on a work trip who has been enjoying spending lunches with Linda and is hiding a secret.

Nestor Carbonell and Colm Feore have booked roles on BEHIND ENEMY LINES, the drama pilot loosely based on the 2001 movie. The project is a military soap thriller wherein a group of U.S. soldiers finds themselves trapped behind enemy lines. It’s described as a multiple-perspective narrative that closely follows our soldiers on the ground and the officers in D.C. as they attempt to bring our heroes home safely and under the radar. Carbonell has been cast as Mateo Rodriguez, a respected career Navy man and Executive Officer on the USS Tyson aircraft carrier. Feore has been cast as Undersecretary of State David Alexander, a former Naval Officer working for Secretary of State Byron James and husband to Navy Admiral Bobbie Decker.

REDLINERS, the adaptation of Charlaine Harris’s short stories, has added Alan Powell in series regular role. The project follows a pair of former operatives who get reactivated and drawn into a larger conspiracy while attempting to maintain their undercover lives. Powell will play Wynn Rhymer, a cop in Anne’s quiet New York suburb, the vigilant father of a teenage daughter, and a bit suspicious of what his new girlfriend is getting up to.

Jane the Virgin‘s Sofia Pernas has joined FOR GOD AND COUNTRY in a series regular role. The hour-long is described as a heart-pounding look into the complex world of our bravest military heroes who make personal sacrifices while executing the most challenging and dangerous missions behind enemy lines. Pernas has been cast as Hannah Archer, a member of Patricia’s team of analysts at the Defense Intelligence Agency.
