TV Casting Round-Up: Kenneth The Page Returns To NBC



Kenneth is back! 30 Rock‘s is reuniting with the NBC comedy’s producer Matt Hubbard on a new single-cam comedy pilot for NBC, written and exec produced by Hubbard. McBrayer will co-star opposite Chris Smith and Elizabeth Ho in the UNTITLED MATT HUBBARD PILOT, which revolves around a happily married interracial couple whose lives take a turn when they move close to their family in Missouri. McBrayer will play Gary, the sycophantic chief instructor at the Tae Kwon Do Academy owned by the father of Ho’s character. Gary looks up to Jae as a father, and fears that Andrew may jeopardize his relationship with Grandmaster Kim. 3 Arts’ David Miner also exec produces.

McBrayer earned three Emmy nominations for his role as Kenneth on 30 Rock. He recently recurred on The Middle, David Cross’s IFC series The Increasingly Poor Decisions Of Todd Margaret and co-starred in feature The Diary Of A Teenage Girl. He’s repped by UTA.


Netflix’s HOUSE OF CARDS has tapped The Killing‘s for a series regular role in the political drama’s fourth season. The show’s twitter account posted a first-look photo of star Kevin Spacey and Kinnaman.

Kinnaman has appeared in Terrence Malick’s Knight Of Cups, David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and can next be seen in DC Comics’ summer blockbuster Suicide Squad. He’s repped by WME and Magnolia Entertainment.

House Of Cards was renewed for a fifth season last week and announced showrunner Beau Willimon would be departing after this season. Season four premieres March 4.


has been cast as a series regular in Amazon’s pilot THE LAST TYCOON opposite stars Matt Bomer, Kelsey Grammer, Rosemarie DeWitt and Lily Collins. The period drama, written, directed and exec produced by Billy Ray, is based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s final unfinished novel. The story follows Monroe Stahr (Bomer), Hollywood’s first wunderkind studio executive in the 1930’s, who is modeled after real-life film mogul Irving Thalberg, as he climbs to the height of power, pitting him against his mentor and current head of the studio, Pat Brady (Grammer) who is inspired by MGM co-founder Louis B. Mayer.

McElligott will play Kathleen Moore, a waitress working at the restaurant frequented by the studio’s who bears a striking resemblance to Stahr’s late wife. McElligott previously starred on ABC’s The Astronaut Wives Club and AMC’s Hell on Wheels. She’s repped by CAA.


has joined Hulu’s original drama series SHUT EYE in a series regular role as Eduardo Bernal, a powerful businessman who comes to Jeffrey Donovan’s Charlie for spiritual advice.

Zayas, best known for his role in Dexter, stars opposite Ellen Page in Tallulah, which was acquired by Netflix just ahead of premiering at this year’s Sundance Festival. He’s repped by Innovative Artists and ATA Management.


FORTITUDE has cast , , , and for the Pivot drama’s second season. Set to premiere this fall, the second installment will revolve around a new murder that shakes up the titular arctic town.

Quaid, repped by WME, most recently starred in Crackle’s series The Art Of More. Nagra, who is with Gersh, Curtis Brown Group, and Sanders Armstrong Caserta Management, has appeared on The Blacklist and Psych. Fairley, best known as Catelyn Stark on Game Of Thrones, starred in ABC’s Resurrection and RTE’s mini Rebellion. She’s repped by Paradigm and Creative Artists Management. , repped by Gersh and Lisa Richards Agency, starred in the first two seasons of Channel 4’s Misfits. , with The Artists Partnership, most recently appeared in A&E Networks’ War & Peace mini-series.


THE NIGHT SHIFT has added Tanaya Beatty as a series regular for the third season of the NBC medical drama. She will play Dr. Shannon Rivera, a spunky and outspoken recent med school graduate who was recruited by Dr. Jordan Alexander (Jill Flint) to intern at San Antonio Memorial Hospital.

Beatty, repped by The Characters Talent Agency and LINK Entertainment, has had arcs on The CW’s The 100 and Syfy’s Continuum. She can next be seen as Sacagawea in the mini Lewis and Clark.


is set to recur on Netflix’s new series THE RANCH. The multi-cam comedy, written by Don Reo and Jim Patterson, stars Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson, Sam Elliott and Debra Winger. It is set on a Colorado ranch, where a semi-pro football player (Kutcher) returns home after a brief career to run the family business with his brother (Masterson). Price will play Mary, Masterson’s love interest.

Price spent seven seasons as Audrey Bingham on Rules Of Engagement and five seasons as Claudia Finnerty on Grounded For Life. She most recently starred in Lifetime’s A Country Christmas Story. She is repped by APA and Leslie Allan-Rice Management.
