ABC has cast Emily Rose in a series regular role in Reba McEntire and Marc Cherry’s untitled drama pilot. The project stars McEntire as Ruby Adair, the sheriff of a colorful small town Oxblood, KY, who finds her red state outlook challenged when a young FBI agent of Middle Eastern descent is sent to help her solve a horrific crime. Rose is set to play Vonda Jean, the County Coroner and a former pageant runner-up.

Everybody Loves Raymond star Brad Garrett is joining THE GET. The drama centers on a team of tireless internet journalists who pursue and expose stories of injustice using their unconventional investigative techniques in today’s anything-goes world of reporting. Garrett has been cast as Bill, a hardworking reporter who has spent his life working up to the position of executive producer at The Get.

Jason Rothenberg’s SEARCHERS pilot has landed Zane Holtz for the male lead. The drama is about a group of unlikely heroes who find themselves on the journey of a lifetime. Ten years after the death of their parents, Cooper and his free-spirited sister Fable are forced to team up when they learn that their mother’s terrifying and bizarre stories might be a road map to discovering the great legends, myths, and unexplainable mysteries of the world. Holtz has been cast in the role of Holtz.

Paula Abdul is set to play herself in Kourtney Kang’s comedy pilot. The series is based on Kang’s life and explores what it’s like to grow up as the only girl in the only mixed race family in the suburbs of Philadelphia, dealing with real-world issues like race and gender while never losing focus of her life goal – to become a Laker Girl like her idol, Paula Abdul.

FOR GOD AND COUNTRY has tapped Anne Heche for the female lead role opposite Mike Vogel. The show is a military drama that is described as a heart-pounding look into the complex world of our bravest military heroes who make personal sacrifices while executing the most challenging and dangerous missions behind enemy lines. Heche will play Patricia Campbell, the Deputy Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. She supervises a team of surveillance analysts who uncover and interpret threats.

Danny Pino is joining Chris Noth and Leven Rambin in NBC Universal’s GONE. The show is based on Chelsea Cain’s novel One Kick and follows the fictional story of Kit “Kick” Lannigan, a survivor of a famous child-abduction case, and Frank Booth, the FBI agent who rescued her. Determined never to fall victim again, Kick trains in martial arts and the use of firearms. She finds her calling when Booth persuades her to join a special task force he created dedicated to solving abductions and missing persons cases. Pino will play Army Intelligence Officer John Bishop, who is paired with Kick.

NBC long-running drama series THE BLACKLIST has booked Enrique Murciano as Julian Gale, an FBI investigator and former of Ressler, whose obsessive tendencies make him both a valuable agent and potential liability. The show is looking for a jolt of energy after losing Ryan Eggold to the spinoff series The Blacklist: Redemption.
