Luke Perry has been cast in the CW pilot RIVERDALE based on the Archie Comics characters from executive producer Greg Berlanti. The series will be a subversive take on the characters as it explores the surrealism of small-town life and the darkness and weirdness that bubble beneath the surface. Perry will portray Archie’s dad Fred Andrews.

Elisabeth Shue has landed a lead role in Fox’s PITCH, a baseball drama from Dan Fogelman and Rick Singer. She will star opposite previously cast Kylie Bunbury and Mark-Paul Gosselaar.

BUNKER HILL is bringing in Dermot Mulroney for a lead role opposite Augustus Prew. The CBS drama pilot was penned by Jason Katims and will be directed by David Semel.

Eliza Coupe has won the lead role opposite Josh Hutcherson in FUTURE MAN, the Hulu comedy from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. She previously starred in the cult comedy Happy Endings and more recently recurred on fellow Hulu series Casual.

Anthony Edwards, best known for his years on the infamous hospital drama ER, has been cast as Carson in the CBS Nancy Drew pilot. The series is an update on the classic mystery book series. Carson is Drew’s father who graduated at the top of his class at Yale Law.

John Magaro and Rachel Brosnahan have been set to star in the in Woody Allen’s six-episode series for Amazon. Little known about the project other than it takes place in the 1960s. The pair can currently be seen on the big screen in The Finest Hours. Magaro was also seen in awards-season movies The Big Short and Carol. Brosnahan is better known for her work on the small screen having starred in Netflix’s House Of Cards and WGN America’s Manhattan.

Michelle Hurd will be joining the cast of ASH VS. EVIL DEAD in a regular role as the high school sweetheart of Bruce Campbell’s Ash. Hurd has previously has regular roles on Law & Order: SVU, Leap Year, and The Glades, as well as recurring on Hawaii Five-O and Devious Maids.

TV Land’s new sitcom from George Lopez entitled LOPEZ has cast Ashley Zamora in a regular role. The semi-autobiographical series revolves around America’s most successful Hispanic American comedian and how he struggles between his two worlds and crises.

Cedric Yarbrough has booked a series regular role on the ABC comedy pilot SPEECHLESS from Scott Silvery and 20th Century Fox TV. The series centers on a family with a special-needs child and is described as being “good at dealing with the challenges it faces and excellent at creating new ones.”

Patrick Gallacker has been cast opposite Elizabeth Perkins and Kevin Nealon in the untitled royal comedy from Charlie Grandy and Amy Poehler for NBC. He will play Brutus, the palace chef.

Erinn Hayes has been set as the female lead in the multi-cam comedy from Kevin James for CBS. Hayes will play James’s wife of twenty years who’s held the family together during her husband’s long career.

Emmy winner Kathy Baker has joined Netflix comedy THE RANCH in a recurring role. The series stars Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson, and Sam Elliot. She has most recently been seen on the USA series Colony.

The second season of WAYWARD PINES is bringing in Christopher Meyer in the role of Mario, described as bulked up and self-important, he is one of Kerry Campbell’s soldiers, wearing a uniform and carrying weapons. The new season will pick up in the wake of the first when a new arrival in town finds himself in the midst of a serious rebellion.

ABC pilot SPARK has added Tracy Ifeachor. The series is a lavish primetime drama of passion, greed, and hope in a Steampunk reality, set in an alternate history where gas and coal fuel the world. Ifeachor will play Logan, an attractive, quick, and confident young forensic investigator who has just transferred to the Investigative Division of the city’s Watch.

Brianne Howey has won a regular role in the Fox pilot THE EXORCIST, a contemporary take on William Blatty’s 1971 novel. She will portray Charlotte, a former ballet dancer, once the golden child, she has not been the same since her terrible accident.

Jessy Hodges and Blake Lee have joined GOOD FORTUNE, the multi-camera comedy pilot from Rashida Jones and Will McCormack’s Le Train Train.

ORPHAN BLACK is bringing in Jessalyn Wanlim for the fourth season of the clone drama. She is set to recur as Evie Cho, a spokesperson advocating research for women’s health.

Kerry O’Malley and Annika Marks have booked recurring roles in THE LAST TYCOON. The Amazon pilot stars Lily Collins and Matt Bomer. It is based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s final unfinished novel.

Brandon Jay McLaren and Ben Esler have been summoned to THE JURY as series regulars. The series examines “the ultimate social experiment” when a person’s fate is placed in the hands of 12 strangers as viewers follow a single murder trial a season as seen through the eyes of the individual jurors.

Will Brill and Brandon Perea have been tapped for Netflix’s drama series THE OA from Plan B, Anonymous Content, Zat Batmanglij, and Brit Marling. The logline is being kept under wraps but the series is believed to have some mystery elements to it.
