CBS has tapped Santiago Cabrera for a starring role in the summer series SALVATION opposite Charlie Rowe and Jennifer Finnigan. The series follow whip-smart MIT grad student Liam and tech billionaire Darius Tanz (played by Cabrera) who bring to a low-level Pentagon official a staggering discovery: An asteroid is six months away from colliding to Earth. They launch a secret team to save the planet.

Multi-camera comedy 9J, 9K & 9L has booked Liza Lapira to star opposite Mark Feuerstein and David Walton. Lapira will play the wife of Walton’s character. The show follows a man who lives in an apartment sandwiched between the husband’s parents’ apartment and his brother’s family’s apartment (Walton and Lapira).
Lapira is repped by Paradigm.

Parks and Recreation‘s Retta is returning to NBC to team up with Mae Whitman on GOOD GIRLS from creator Jenna Bans. Retta, Mae Whitman, and Kathleen Rose Perkins play three “good girl” suburban wives and mothers who find themselves in desperate times and decide to stop playing it safe. Retta has been cast as Ruby, a single mother of a young girl with kidney disease who isn’t getting the treatment she needs.

NBC drama pilot REVERIE has cast Jessica Lu and Sendhil Ramamurthy for a series regular roles. The series is a dramatic thriller that follows Sarah Shahi as Mara, a former detective specializing in human behavior who is brought in when the launch of an advanced virtual reality program has dangerous and intended consequences. Lu is set to play Alexis Barrett, who started the company Reverie in which clients have the virtual reality experience of their lives via a simple neural transmitter. Ramamurthy has been cast as Paul Hammond, who works with Alexis on the Reverie project as the Chief Oneirologist, or dream specialist, who designs the factory presets and training levels for the users of the Reverie fully immersible, customizable VR program.

Under the Dome actor Mike Vogel has landed the lead role in NBC’s military drama FOR GOD AND COUNTRY. The show is described as a heart-pounding look into the complex world of our bravest military heroes who make personal sacrifices while executing the most challenging and dangerous missions behind enemy lines. Vogel has been cast has Michael Dalton, the commander of the ISA-Special Operations Group. He does whatever it takes to make sure no foreign nation gets away with harming Americans.

UnReal star Constance Zimmer has booked a guest role on the TBS series ANGIE TRIBECA which is shooting its third season. The detective comedy will see Zimmer play a hard-nosed NYPD detective with a neurotic side. The season will debut ten new episodes later this year.

Ryan Murphy is reuniting with Glee star Darren Criss for FX’s AMERICAN CRIME STORY: VERSACE. Joining him is The Girl on the Train actor Edgar Ramirez. This season of the anthology drama takes a look at the July 1997 assassination of Gianni Versace on the steps of his Miami Beach mansion by sociopath and serial killer Andrew Cunanan. Eight days later, Cunanan killed himself in a houseboat as the police moved in to capture him. Ramirez has won the role of Versace and Criss will play his killer.

GOOD BEHAVIOR on TNT had promoted Joey Kern to series regular for its sophomore season. Kern plays Rob, an average guy who owns his own lawn care business. The show is based on a series of books by Blake Crouch and follows the con artist Letty Raines played by Michelle Dockery.
Kern is repped by Abrams Artists and Principato Young Entertainment.

Upcoming hourlong drama from Showtime, THE CHI, has added Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine in a series regular role. The show is a coming-of-age story that follows a half-dozen, interrelated characters on the South Side of Chicago. Mwine has been cast as Ronnie, a former military man somewhat surrendered to the challenges of life on the South Side.

INDIGO, a sci-fi drama from Sonar Entertainment, is set to star the project’s creator to direct and star. The Glee alum will pen the pilot which explores the mysterious world of indigo children – those who are misdiagnosed by wildly believed to possess extraordinary paranormal abilities – and the dark forces working to exploit their powers. The drama is being shopped to networks.
