The ABC pilot is based on the 1979 novel by Karl Alexander and used the movie as it’s starting point as it chronicles the epic adventures of a young H.G. Wells. Upon arriving in modern New York, he is captivated by museum curator Jane Walker. Sparks is set as New York stylist Jesse Givens who is also Walker’s roommate and good friend.
