Tim Curry, who originated the role of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, will appear in Fox’s ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW as the Criminologist Narrator. The two-hour Rocky Horror remake, starring Laverne Cox (Dr. Frank-N-Furter), Victoria Justice (Janet), Ryan McCartan (Brad), Adam Lambert (Eddie), Reeve Carney (Riff Raff), and Staz Nair (Rocky), is slated to air this fall.
Dan Fogelman and Rick Singer’s baseball drama pilot has been picked up to pilot at Fox. PITCH will star Twisted’s Kylie Bunbury as a young female pitcher who defies the odds when she becomes the first woman to play in the major leagues. Bunbury, who recently appeared in Under The Dome and Spike mini Tut, comes from a sports family; her father and brother both played professional soccer.
The drama is a departure for comedy writers Fogelman and Singer. Fogelman created The Neighbors and Galavant, and executive produces Grandfathered. This pilot season, he also has a dramedy at NBC. Singer has written and produced series Younger, American Dad, and My Boys. The duo will executive produce with Tony Bill and Helen Bartlett. The project, from 20th Century Fox TV, recently got a tax credit approval by the California Film Commission.
Neil Patrick Harris is in negotiations to star in Netflix’s 13-episode straight-to-series adaptation of A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS. The best-selling children’s book tells the tale of orphaned children Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire who finds themselves in the villainous clutches of an evil uncle named Count Olaf, who has designs on their family fortune.
Paramount Television is producing the series in association with Netflix. Daniel Handler, the author of the books who uses the pen name Lemony Snicket, is executive producing. Showrunner Mark Hudis just exited the drama. A replacement has yet to be named.

The League’s Katie Aselton is set to recur on season 2 of HBO’s TOGETHERNESS, joining her husband, Togetherness co-creator and star Mark Duplass. Written, directed and executive produced by Duplass and his brother Jay Duplass, Togetherness also stars Amanda Peet, Melanie Lynskey and Steve Zissis.
Aselton is best known for her role as Jenny on FXX’s fantasy football comedy series The League, which recently wrapped its seventh and final season. She is repped by ICM Partners and Untitled Entertainment. Togetherness season 2 premieres on Sunday, February 21.
Country star Trisha Yearwood and Latin pop star Prince Royce will feel the passion this Easter. The musicians have joined the cast of Fox’s THE PASSION, which will air live from New Orleans on Palm Sunday, March 20. Yearwood will play Mary, and Royce will play the disciple Peter. Tyler Perry was previously announced as the event’s host and narrator. Written by Peter Barsocchini, the two-hour musical event follows the final hours of Jesus’ life, telling the story through a variety of popular music.

Boris Kodjoe is scrubbing in on CODE BLACK. The Real Husbands Of Hollywood actor is set to join the CBS medical drama in the recurring role of Dr. Will Campbell, a suave surgeon whose skills and personal charm are outweighed only by his ego. The series, which was picked up for an additional five episodes in November, stars Marcia Gay Harden, Bonnie Somerville, Raza Jaffrey, Luis Guzmán, Melanie Chandra, Harry Ford, Benjamin Hollingsworth and William Allen Young.
Is the Mahoney family turning to Annalise Keating to help them get away with murder? ABC’s HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER has cast Adam Arkin, Wilson Bethel, and Roxanne Hart as the well-to-do clan, which showrunner Peter Nowalk confirmed will play a large role in the last six episodes of the season in a murder case that “involves Annalise in a big way.”
Arkin plays Wallace, a Warren Buffet type who knows how to command a room, opposite Hart as his wife Silvia, a tough and smart socialite, and Bethel as their Ivy League-educated son Charles.
Arkin is repped by Paradigm and Principal Entertainment LA. Bethel is repped by WME, Zero Gravity Management, and LINK Entertainment. Hart is repped by SMS Talent. How To Get Away returns Thursday, February 11.
