Vanessa Williams will star in VH1’s scripted drama SATAN’S SISTERS, based on the 2011 book by Star Jones. The series centers on daytime TV talk show The Lunch Hour and the fireworks that ensue each weekday when the co-hosts discuss life, love, family. politics, and gossip. Maxine (Williams) is the show’s creator and host, a formidable, powerful and decisive woman who fears she’s being put out to pasture.

Jason Lee is set to return television in a comedy pilot from Dan Kopelman and Aaron Kaplan for CBS, WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND. The series centers on two forty-something parents – Kenny (Lee), a husband, father, and owner of a hip music management company; and Robin – who were wild and reckless teenagers and now face their worst nightmare: raising three teenagers of their own.
Lee previously starred in NBC single camera comedy My Name Is Earl and TNT’s dramedy Memphis Beat. He is repped by CAA and Ribisi Entertainment.
LEGION, the FX X-Men series from Fargo‘s Noah Hawley has added Katie Aselton. She joins previously cast Dan Stevens, Aubrey Plaza, and Jean Smart. The series introduces the story of David Haller (Stevens), the son of X-Men founder Charles Xavier, who is getting tired of finding his way to back to sanity and is about to give up when he meets the girl of his dreams, a fellow patient, and is confronted with the possibility that hte voices he hears and the visions he see might be real.
Aselton, best known for starring in FXX series The League, and more recently has appeared in Hulu’s Castual and HBO’s Togetherness.

Casey Wilson has landed the lead role in HAIL MARY from Sony TV and ABC Studios. She plays the small-town mayor named Mary Wolf who has dysfunctional siblings, a dying father, disgruntled citizens, a nearly bankrupt town and the mafia breathing down her neck. Only a miracle can help her. So… she fakes one.

DIRTY DANCING has cast Nicole Scherzinger as Penny, Johnny’s dancing partner, in the ABC remake of the 1987 film. Scherzing is also in talks to reprise her awards-nominated role in Andrew Lloyed Webber’s Broadway revival of Cats, set to bow this summer.

Joanna Garcia Swisher is joining the team of THE KICKER, the CBS multi-cam pilot from Tina Fey, Jack Burditt, and Robert Carlock. The series centers on Daryl Thorkelsonan, an oddball athlete who drives, family, friends, and strangers insane after he unexpectedly finds himself cut from his professional football team. Swisher will play Bambi, Daryl’s intelligent and patient wife and a physical therapist to pro athletes.

CHARITY CASE has booked Kyle Bornheimer to co-star opposite Courteney Cox. He will play Adam, Hailey’s (Cox) stepson, who is now Chairman of the Board of the Waller Foundation since his father’s passing. He has nothing but disdain for his stepmother whom he refers to as “Philanthropist Barbie”.

YouTube and pop-music star Megan Nicole will make her animated debut as Squeaky Pop as a guest star in Netflix’s animated series POPPLES. The children series is based on the 1980s-era toy line of fluffy multicolored creatures.

Kate Levering has won the role Reese Witherspoon made famous in the cult film CRUEL INTENTIONS in the NBC drama pilot. She will star opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar, who will return in the role of Kathryn Merteuil.

Carly Hughes is moving into a series regular role in the ABC single camera pilot THE SECOND FATTEST HOUSEWIFE IN WESTPORT. The comedy is narrated by Katie, a larger, strong-willed mother raising her flawed family of three in a wealthy town filled with “perfect” wives and their “perfect” offspring. Hughes plays a hip, brutally honest woman who is going through a messy divorce.

Josh Salatin and Alyssa Diaz are heading to the ZOO. Salatin plays Logan, a mysterious stranger Jamie encounters who may be holding a dangerous secret from her. Diaz’s character Dariela works as part of a military unit which encounters a strange and troubling new development in the animal mutation.

WHEN THE STREET LIGHTS GO ON has cast Max Burkholder has been cast in the lead role of the Hulu series. The series is adapted from the Black List feature script from Chris Hutton and Eddie O’Keefe. Burkholder is best known for playing Max Braverman on NBC’s Parenthood.
