THE RETURNED has cast Frances Fisher. The supernatural-drama centers on a small town whose residents are shocked to find that their deceased loved ones have mysteriously reappeared. Fisher will play Lucille, a woman whose son Jacob returns after he drowned 32 years earlier. Fisher currently stars in “Children’s Hospital” and “Touch” and will next appear in the film “The Host”. Armstrong will play a snarky woman who loses it when her father returns and Hazeldine will play one of the returned. Lenora Crichlow has joined the untitled Cullen Brothers comedy alongside Maggie Lawson and James Caan, who star as a divorced mother who moves in with her father. Crichlow will play Gigi, whose son is on the same baseball team as Lawson’s. Crichlow currently stars on “Being Human” and is repped by BWH Agency.
Naveen Andrews has joined the cast of RECKLESS, which centers on a man who goes to extreme lengths to free his wife, who is wrongfully imprisoned overseas during an uprising. Andrews will play Roland Shaw, a former SAS soldier who sets out to rescue the wife. Andrews previously starred on ABC’s “Lost” and will next appear in the biopic “Diana”. He is repped by Gersh. Bess Armstrong has also joined the cast and will play will play Sarah’s mother.
Alexis Carra will appear in the single-cam comedy MIXOLOGY. The project is set over the course of a night and follows various singles looking for love. Carra will play a single mother who masks the fact that she wants a steady relationship with the outward appearance of wanting a one-night stand. She appeared in “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Castle” and is repped by SMS Talent.
Emma Booth will star in the drama GOTHICA. The drama weaves various mythologies, including Dracula and Frankenstein, together. Booth will play Dr. Frankenstein’s wife, Madeline. She is repped by UTA and RGM Artist Group and appeared alongside Jason Statham in “Parker”.
Chris Carmack has joined the cast of the hit series NASHVILLE for six episodes. He will play Will, a new charming country singer. The “O.C.” star was featured in “Shark Night 3D” and is repped by Innovative Artists.
Kacey Rohl will star in DOUBT. The project centers on a lawyer who uses his smarts to win his cases and battles his personal demons. Rohl will play Monica, a savvy paralegal. Rohl starred in “Red Riding Hood” and will next appear in “Sisters & Brothers”. She is repped by Gersh.
Dean Winters has joined the cast of a drama (previously titled VENICE) that also stars Jennifer Beals. The project will focus on rival families the Nances and the Carvers and a forbidden and dangerous romance emerging between them as the two clans battle for control of Venice. Winters will play Robbie Carver, a local legend who runs the Carver family surf shop in Venice and is the brother-in-law of Lisa Carver. He’s best known for his role on “30 Rock” and is repped by UTA.
Seth Gabel has landed a co-star role on genre drama GOTHICA, a project set in the present day, that weaves together a mythology that incorporates the legends of Dracula, Jekyll and Hyde, Frankenstein and Dorian Gray. Gabel will play Roderick Usher, the district attorney and heir to the once-powerful Usher family who is carrying secrets. Repped by ICM, Gabel is best known for “Fringe”.
Greta Lee will star in BAD MANAGEMENT, which centers on a slightly self-centered female boss at a high-end luxury goods department store who finds her ways challenged when the boss’ son, Tobias Jr. comes to town and makes youth and sex the new company focus. Lee will play new hire Mel, a protÃ©gÃ© of Tobias Junior’s, a very ambitious Business Management student. She is repped by Stewart Talent and is best know for “Nurse Jackie”.
BIG THUNDER, which centers on a brilliant, late 19th century New York doctor and his family who are given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to relocate to a frontier mining town run by a powerful tycoon, adds a lead to its cast. Alex Hassell will play the mysterious tycoon. He is repped by Paradigm.

Kelly Preston will star in the upcoming comedy KEEP KALM AND KAREY ON, that focuses on Karey, the clean-nosed black sheep in a family of petty thieves, drug addicts, and narcissists. Preston will play the titular role who decides to raise her brother’s kids (after he’s sent to prison) along with her adopted black son and give them the normal lives they deserve. Lyndon Smith has joined the cast of RECKLESS, which follows a resourceful problem solver who, when his wife is unjustly imprisoned during a political uprising overseas, resorts to entering a world of political intrigue, dangerous alliances and high emotional stakes in order to get her out. Scott McNairy has secured a lead role in the pilot HALT & CATCH FIRE. He will star along with Lee Pace and Mackenzie Davis in the project, which centers on the 1980’s personal computer boom. McNairy will play an engineer whose inventions compete with Pace’s and Davis’. After having a solid 2012 starring in “Argo”, “Promised Land” and “Killing Them Softly”, McNairy will next be featured in the drama-thriller “Eden” and Steve McQueen’s “12 Years A Slave”. Brooklyn Decker will star alongside James Van Der Beek in the comedy FRIENDS WITH BETTER LIVES. The pilot centers on six friends in their thirties who each thinks the others have it better off. Decker will play Julie, one of the friends who was a former model. Decker has had roles on the shows “The League”, “New Girl” and “Ugly Betty” and was last seen in the film “Battleship”. Dennis Haysbert has joined the cast of the CBS pilot BACKSTROM, based on a Swedish book series that revolves around Everett Backstrom, a loud-mouthed, abrasive detective who continually tries to change his ways. Haysbert will play John Almond, a fellow detective. Haysbert was a director and star of the CBS series “The Unit” and will be seen in the “Sin City” sequel “A Dame to Kill For”. Tongayi Chirisa will star in the untitled Jim Gaffigan pilot as Father Nicholas Ngungumbane. The project centers on a married couple (Gaffigan and Mira Sorvino) living in a New York apartment. Chirisa starred in “American Horror Story” and is repped by Domain.
Marisa Ramirez has joined BLUE BLOODS for a five-episode arc as Donnie Wahlberg’s partner. The show has had a turnstile of female leads come in to play Wahlberg’s since the medical leave of Jennifer Esposito. Ramirez appeared last year in “The Mentalist” and currently stars in “Body of Proof”. She is repped by Diverse Talent Group.
JACKED UP has added Ziah Colon in a lead role. The project stars Patrick Warburton as a former baseball player who has trouble adjusting to life after retirement. Colon will play Myra, his housekeeper. Colon starred in the films “Footloose” and “Joyful Noise”.
Beau Bridges has joined the cast of the Untitled Greg Garcia comedy. The project centers on Jack, a recently divorced guy whose life gets more complicated when his parents have marital problems of their own. Bridges will play the father who moves in with Jack’s sister Debbie. He last starred in “Franklin and Bash” and is repped by CAA.
Georgina Haig and Kim Wayans have joined the cast of legal drama RECKLESS. Wayans will play a paralegal while Haig will play Lee Anne, a police officer in the Charleston PD. Haig was last seen in the final season of “Fringe” and is repped by IFA Talent Agency.
Sam Neill and Emmanuelle Chriqui will star in THE ORDAINED, which follows the son of a Kennedy-esque family who leaves the priesthood and becomes a lawyer at a top New York firm to prevent his politician sister from being assassinated. Neill will play the family’s father, Michael Thomas Riley aka The Governor. Chriqui will play Sam who lives next door to the son. Neill last starred in “Alcatraz” and is repped by ICM. UTA repped Chriqui was last in “The Mentalist”. Hope Davis has also joined the cast and will play the politician sister, Packy, who is a first-term mayor of New York City who’s just announced her bid for re-election – big of heart, loud of mouth, spine of iron. Ben McKenzie and Brit Morgan have been cast in the drama pilot THE ADVOCATES, which centers on lawyer Shannon Carter and ex-con Henry Bird who team up as “victim advocates,” going to the very edge of the law to right wrongs and fight for the underdog. McKenzie will play Henry Bird, should his current show “Southland” fail to get renewed. Morgan will play Henry’s sister Rose, a tattooed and pierced supermarket cashier. Derek Luke has joined the cast of SECOND SIGHT, which follows Det. Ross Tanner, who suddenly is afflicted with an autoimmune virus that causes hallucinations reflective of his subconscious. Luke will play Det. Paul Giroux, a new member of Tanner’s team, who is after Tanner’s job. Giroux is somewhat self-consciously hip, full of himself and consistently oversteps. Luke was last seen in “The Americans”. He is repped by WME.
Kevin Connolly will co-star in the comedy pilot FRIENDS WITH BETTER LIVES, which revolves around six 30-something friends who each think the other has it better. Connolly will play Bobby Lutz, a gynecologist who’s best friends with Will (James Van Der Beek). Connolly is best known for his work on “Entourage”. He is repped by CAA.
Sara Gilbert has landed a co-starring role on the tv version of BAD TEACHER, which (like the movie) follows a hot, confident, unapologetic former trophy wife Meredith Davis who becomes a teacher to find a new man after her husband leaves her without a dime. Gilbert will play Irene, a shy, introverted drama and English teacher who, when activated, can be a bit intense. She is repped by Domain Talent.
Jenessa Grant and Celina Sinden will star in the period drama REIGN, which centers on Mary Queen of Scots rise to power. Grant has had roles in the TV movie “Cyberbully” and the series “18 to Life”. Megan Follows has also joined the project as Queen Catherine, who does anything to keep herself in power. Follows starred in the Nick series “Hollywood Heights” and will appear in the drama “Hard Drive”. She is repped by Greene & Associates Talent Agency and The Noble Caplan Abrams Agency.
Madeleine Mantock has taken a role in THE TOMORROW PEOPLE, which centers on several people who are already at the next stage of human evolution and use their powers to save the world. Mantock will play the character Astrid.
The reboot of THE SELECTION has added Lucien Laviscount in a male lead role opposite Yael Grobglas. The project is set 300 years in the future where women are chosen to compete for a hand in marriage with a prince. Laviscount will play Aspen Leger, a working-class man who begins an illegal relationship with Grobglas. He is repped by Waring & McKenna.
Aaron Yoo has joined the cast of THE TOMORROW PEOPLE, which centers on several people who are already at the next stage of human evolution and use their powers to save the world. Yoo will play Russell, resident badboy of the Tomorrow People who is a lightning bolt of energy and fun. Yoo is repped by Gersh.
Caitlin Stasey will star in the drama pilot REIGN. The project chronicles the rise to power of Mary Queen of Scots when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, betrothed to Prince Francis. Stasey will play lady-in-waiting Kenna, the vibrant and sexy daughter of an Earl who is a free spirit looking for love. She last starred in the Australian comedy “Please Like Me” and is repped by UTA. Anna Popplewell has also joined the cast and will play Mary’s friend/lady-in-waiting Lola. She is repped by ICM.
Matt Lanter has joined the cast of OXYGEN, which follows a teen girl who falls in love with Roman, an alien boy, one of nine of his kind integrated into a suburban high school. Lanter will play Roman. He is repped by WME and best known for the reboot of 90210. Natalie Hall has also landed a starring role and will play human girl Taylor, the undisputed queen of her high school who takes an interest in newcomer Emery but Emery’s friendliness towards the hated Orions may put a damper on their new friendship. THE SELECTION (reboot) has added some royalty to its ranks. Anthony Head will play King Clarkson, the patriarch of the royal family that rules the nation. Head is best known as Giles on Joss Whedon’s “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” but has also starred in “Merlin” and “Dancing on the Edge”. He is repped by APA. Sarah Winter has also joined the cast and will play Ashley Brovillette, a naÃ¯ve young woman who is overjoyed to be chosen by lottery as one of the contestants for The Selection competition.
Paige Turco has joined the cast of THE 100, Set 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed civilization, it revolves around 100 juvenile delinquents sent back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. Turco will play Abby, mother of Clarke (played by Eliza Taylor) and the authoritative chief medical officer of The Ark space station. She is repped by Gersh.
Lili Taylor will take the lead female role in Fox’s untitled drama from Bad Robot. The project is set in the future where human police officers are paired with android partners. Taylor will play a police captain who puts the greater good before her own well-being. Last year, Taylor starred in the drama-adaptation “Being Flynn” and Stephen Elliott’s porn-based pic “About Cherry”. She is repped by APA. Also joining the project are Michael Irby (Greene & Associates Talent Agency) and Mackenzie Crook (WME). Irby will play Richard Paul, an LAPD detective and Crook will play Rudy Lom, the designer of the android partners.
RZA will star in the crime series GANG RELATED. The project centers on a gang member sent undercover to infiltrate the San Francisco Police Department. RZA will play Cassius, a man from the streets of Oakland who becomes a task force member of the SFPD and the undercover gang member’s best friend. He made his directorial debut last year with “The Man with the Iron Fists” and will next star in “G.I. Joe: Retaliation”. He is repped by CAA. Cliff Curtis has also joined the cast and will play Javier Acosta who runs La Familia Sud, one of the most dangerous and powerful Latino gangs in San Francisco. He is repped by Abrams Artists.
Alexis Bledel will star alongside Jason Ritter in the comedy FRIENDS & FAMILY. The project centers on a married couple (Bledel and Ritter) who try to balance their lives and their polarizing families. Bledel, who starred in the “Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants” films, will next be seen in “The Brass Teapot” and “Parts Per Billion”. She is repped by CAA. Kerri Kenney-Silver and Kurt Fuller have joined the cast of comedy. Kenney will play Gwen, Bledel’s mom while Fuller will play Ritter’s dad. Parker Young and Chris Lowell will lead with Geoff Stults in ENLISTED. The comedy centers on three brothers serving in the Army (Young, Lowell and Stults). Young, who is repped by Gersh, currently has a recurring role on the comedy “Suburgatory”. Lowell last starred in 2011’s “The Help” and will next appear in “Love and Honor”. He is repped by WME.
Jessica Szohr will star in THE LIST along with Michael Pena. Pena stars as the head of the Witness Protection Program who hunts down a person who stole the list of names of the protected, leading them to be killed. Szohr will play Natalie Voss, an FBI agent who wants nothing to do with the Program. Szohr, who starred in “Gossip Girls” and “Tower Heist”, will next be seen in the comedy “The Internship”. Gary Cole has also been cast in the drama and will play Soto’s boss, Chief Inspector Bob McKinnon, a stand-up, loyal guy who goes to bat for Soto when his maverick inspector gets into hot water, yet again. Jake Hoffman has landed the male lead (opposte Kelli Garner) in the comedy TWO WRONGS, which revolves around a couple whose friends and family don’t think they are right for each other. Hoffman last appeared in an episode of “Luck” and “Californication”. He is repped by WME.
The awesomely hilarious Anders Holm will have (at least) a four episode arc on THE MINDY PROJECT. He will play new love interest for Mindy, Casey, a charismatic, altruistic, and popular Lutheran pastor in New York City who is so cool he has a DJ at his church services. Holm is best known for being a creator and star of the “Workaholics” on Comedy Central. He is repped by UTA.
Tone Bell has joined the cast of TO MY FUTURE ASSISTANT, which revolves around the assistants at a big New York law firm who band together as a family to help each other cope with the obnoxious overbearing bosses. Bell will play Davis, a confident, Harvard-educated attorney who has just joined the firm. He is repped by Innovative Artists.
David Harbour has joined the cast of RAKE, which follows the chaotic and comedic life of criminal defense lawyer Keegan Joye (Greg Kinnear), brilliant, frustratingly charming, and with zero filter. Harbour will play David Potter, the bane of Keegan’s life – a scrupulously honest tax attorney determined to prove Keegan hasn’t been paying his taxes. He is repped by ICM.
Jeffrey Wright will join the upcoming season of BOARDWALK EMPIRE as a series regular. He will play Valentin Narcisse, Doctor of Divinity, philanthropist, student of culture and (most importantly) the man who runs Harlem. Wright last lent his voice to “Robot Chicken” in the tv world. Steve Zissis has laned a lead role in the single-camera comedy TOGETHERNESS, that follows two couples living under the same roof who struggle to keep their relationships alive while pursuing their individual dreams. Zissis will play (a character largely based on him) Alex Pappas, a 30-something actor who has been trying to make it in LA for almost 20 years and he’s just been left homeless with only one friend in the world. He is repped by Domain Talent.
Kaley Ronayne will have a recurring role on ARMY WIVES as Brooke Shield’s character Kat Young’s daughter. Ronayne currently stars as Blythe on “The Carrie Diaries”. She is repped by Abrams Artists Agency.
Zach Cregger will star with Krysten Ritter in the comedy pilot ASSISTANCE. The project centers on a girl (Ritter) who is romantically caught between her fiance and her co-worker (Cregger). Cregger, who is repped by WME, currently stars on “Guys With Kids” and wrote, directed and starred in the 2009 comedy “Miss March”. Vinette Robinson has also joined the cast as Jenny, a threatening character to the others. She previously starred in the series “Sherlock” and will next appear in the film “Powder”. Mary McCormack will star in WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, a comedy that also stars Mike O’Malley. The project centers on a white and Latino family that comes together when their respective children have an unplanned pregnancy. McCormack will play the pregnant girl’s mom, with O’Malley playing the dad. She is the calm figure in the family who keeps trouble at bay. Annie Ilonzeh has booked a role on NBC’s modern re-imagining of HATFIELDS & MCCOYS. The project will see the two families in present day Pittsburgh and will feature Ilonzeh as Mary Hatfield, the daughter. She currently stars on CW’s “Arrow” and ABC Family’s “Switched at Birth”.
THE SIXTH GUN claims three more souls. Pedro Pascal, James LeGros and Chin Han have joined the supernatural western project which follows the story of six mythical guns, each with its own other-worldly powers. Pascal will play Special Agent Ortega, the younger of the two Pinkerton detectives who follows Mercer’s lead. LeGros will play Bill John O’Henry, a gunslinger who is a fervently loyal companion and sidekick to Drake Sinclair. Han plays Chow, a brilliant Machiavellian schemer. Justina Machado and Joey Haro have joined the cast of WELCOME TO THE FAMILY, which explores how cultures collide when white parents and Latino parents are bonded together by their children Molly and Junior who fall in love followed quickly by an unplanned pregnancy. Haro will play Junior, and is best known for “Glee”. Machado will play his mother, Lisette, who works at the DMV and is committed to co-parenting her son. Haro and Machado are repped by Greene & Associates Youth and APA respectively.
Matthew Lillard has joined the cast of I AM VICTOR in a co-starring role. The project revolves around a high powered divorce attorney with a unique view of relationships. Lillard will play Victor’s best friend Elliott, an off-beat, off-books former cop who helps Victor acquire information and things, legally and otherwise. Lillard last supplied the voice of Shaggy (once again) in the animated “Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated”. He is repped by Paradigm.
Elliott Gould and Martin Short have joined the cast of an untitled comedy pilot from John Mulaney, that centers on John (Mulaney), whose naÃ¯ve, and often pointless, desire to “be a good person” challenges his friendship with his roommates Jane and Seymour. Gould will play John’s gay neighbor, while Short will play a game show host John writes jokes for. Gould and Short are repped by APA and WME respectively.
Ellen Woglom and Eric Andre have joined the cast of Greg Daniel’s Untitled comedy, that focuses on four hopeful city-dwellers who step through the endless mine field of their romantic entanglements. Woglom will play Maggie the only girl in the group, thick-skinned and sharp-tongued from being “one of the guys” for too long. Andre will play Teddy, who is crass with zero social filter. Woglom and Andre are repped by Paradigm and CAA respectively.
Ryan McPartlin will star in the comedy DO IT YOURSELF, which centers on a twenty-something fired math teacher who takes a job at the Big Box Home Supply Store where he becomes the leader of the store’s ragtag group of employees. McPartlin will play Tyler, an employee in the paint department who adds over-the-top theatrics to his paint demonstrations. He starred as Devon/Captain Awesome in “Chuck” and is currently featured on USA’s “Necessary Roughness”. He is repped by ICM. Ben Rappaport and Bill Engvall have also joined the cast. Scott Bakula will join Geena Davis in an Untitled Bounty Hunter Pilot that folows an unconventional bail bondswoman and bounty hunter whose eccentric personality and unusual tactics give her an advantage in a tough and unpredictable business. Bakula will play ex-husband Pete, a cop. Bakula was last seen in “Men of a Certain Age” and is repped by ICM.
