Jenny Slate joins June Diane Raphael in PULLING, which revolves around three dysfunctional women in their 30s living their lives the way they want, even if society tells them they should have it all figured out by this point. She will play Karen, who may be a prim and proper professional during working hours, but once she’s off the clock, look out. Slate has recently appeared in the current running seasons of “House of Lies” and “Raising Hope”. She is repped by WME. Kristen Schaal has also joined the cast and will play Louise, the role left vacant after Mandy Moore left. Schaal is best known for “Flight of the Conchords” and currently does voice work for “Bob’s Burgers”. She is repped by UTA.
KEEP CALM AND KAREY ON, which follows a clean-nosed black sheep in a family of petty thieves, drug addicts, and narcissists, has cast Steve Talley. He will play younger brother Jeff – part leech, part con-man, he has no job and now lives with Karey and sleeps on her sofa. Talley last appeared in “Franklin & Bash” and “Pretty Little Liars.” He is repped by Domain Talent.
E.J. Bonilla has joined the cast of BAD MANAGEMENT, a comedy that centers on a self-centered female boss at a high-end luxury goods department store who finds her ways challenged when the boss’ son comes to town and makes youth and sex the new company focus. He will play Ramon, a vain guy working at the store who had implants on his butt cheeks. Bonilla currently appears on “Revenge.” He is repped by APA.
Ed MacLiam, Ruth Bradley, Alex Meraz and Spencer Locke have all joined the cast of BIG THUNDER, a drama that revolves around a frontier mining town run by a powerful but mysterious tycoon. MacLiam will take the male lead. Meraz will play a handsome Shoshone tribesman. Bradley will play Nora, a nanny with a dark, hidden past. Locke will play Lizzie, Carson’s beautiful and brilliant teenage daughter.
Gregory Marcel has signed up for INFLUENCE, which centers on the complicated relationship between two brothers – Clark Clark, a bipolar genius in human psychology, and Ross, a slick ex-con – who solve their clients’ problems using the real science of human motivation and manipulation. He will play Miles, a geeky handsome, talkative and a little obtuse member of the team, a promising psych grad student. Marcel last appeared on “The Mentalist.” Christian Slater will also be joining the cast, playing Ross, brother to Clark, and a brilliant schemer, fresh out of prison following a two-year term for fraud. Slater was last in “Breaking In” and is repped by UTA.
Jason Jones will star in the upcoming comedy pilot DIVORCE: A LOVE STORY, that follows a recently divorced couple who were bad together but discover they’re even worse apart and can’t seem to stay out of each others’ lives. He will play Kenny, the male lead. Jones is best known for being a correspondent on “The Daily Show” and is repped by UTA.
Stephen Lang will star in ABC’s RECKLESS (CBS has one in the works too), that centers on David, a resourceful problem solver who, when his wife Sarah disappears during a violent military coup in East Myanmar, resorts to entering a world of political intrigue, dangerous alliances and high emotional stakes in order to get her out. Lang will play Sarah’s father Tom, who runs a top military manufacturing facility and uses his strong political connections to demand action when his beloved daughter disappears. Lang last starred in Fox’s “Terra Nova” and is repped by Innovative Artists.
Lynn Collins and Josh Lucas have joined the cast of OCCULT, that revolves around two recently paired FBI agents who solve cases for the newly formed occult crimes task force. Lucas will play Dolan, an FBI agent who returns from administrative leave after going off the deep end while investigating his wife’s disappearance. Collins will play, Noa Blair, an agent with her own complicated backstory who specializes in the occult. They are both repped by WME.
Heather Lind has joined the cast of TURN, a drama set in the summer of 1778 that tells the story of New York farmer Abe Woodhull who bands together with a group of childhood friends to form The Culper Ring, an unlikely group of spies who turn the tide in America’s fight for independence. Lind last recurred in HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” and is repped by ICM.
Meghan Ory has joined the cast of the drama pilot INTELLIGENCE, which revolves around the U.S. Cyber Command and focuses on a unit that has been created around one agent with a very special gift – a microchip has been implanted in his brain that allows him to access the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Ory will play Riley O’Neil, an ex Secret Service taking on the challenge of protecting the nation’s top intelligence asset. Should this go to series it would be first position to her other tv role on “Once Upon A Time.” She is repped by Gersh.
The untitled Greg Garcia comedy pilot has found it’s last core member, Michael Rapaport. He will play Adam, husband to Will’s sister. Rapaport currently appears on “The Mob Doctor.” He is repped by Paradigm.
Kathryn Morris has joined the cast of SURGEON GENERAL, which follows the most powerful doctor in the nation, the Surgeon General, who has 315 million patients. Morris is best known for “Cold Case” also on CBS and is repped by Gersh.
Skeet Ulrich has joined the cast of ANATOMY OF VIOLENCE, that revolves around Raines, an unshaven and disheveled, something of a maverick FBI Criminal Psychiatrist with an expertise in sociopaths who partners with a young female detective with whom he shares a conflicted past. Ulrich will play Raines. He’s best known for “Jericho” and is repped by UTA.
Kristin Davis has joined the cast of BAD TEACHER, that centers on hot, confident, unapologetic former trophy wife Meredith Davis who becomes a teacher to find a new man after her husband leaves her without a dime. Davis will play Ginny, a history teacher, choir director, Faculty President and Meredith’s nemesis. She’s best known for her work on “Sex and the City” and is repped by UTA.
Chelsea Gilligan and Greg Finley have joined the cast of OXYGEN, which focuses on a teen girl who falls in love with an alien boy, one of nine integrated into a suburban high school. They will play two of the nine alien students. Gilligan has appeared on “How I Met Your Mother” and “Victorious” and is repped by The Luedtke Agency. Finley is best known for “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” and is repped by The Kohner Agency.
Shantel VanSanten has joined the cast of GANG RELATED, which follows a Ryan, gang member sent in to infiltrate the San Francisco Police Department. She will play a doctor who treats Ryan for his bullet wound injuries and the daughter of the gang task force’s captain. VanSanten is best known for “One Tree Hill.” She is repped by Innovative Artists.
Minka Kelly and Karl Urban have been cast in the currently Untitled (previously titled Inhuman) drama pilot from J.H. Wyman (and JJ Abrams), which is set in the near future where all LAPD officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids. Urban will play John Kennex, a respected police officer who has shut down emotionally after a tragic mission left him critically injured. Kelly will play Valerie Stahl, a uniformed cop with a strong moral compass who believes the best of people. They are both repped by CAA.
Jane Kaczmarek has joined the cast of FRIENDS & FAMILY, that focuses on the key life moments for Gavin and Stacey, who try to maintain their relationship while combining their polarizing families’ lives. She will play Gavin’s overbearing Upper West Side mom who has zero verbal filter and little volume control. Kaczmarek is best known for “Malcom in the Middle” and is repped by ICM.
Christopher Meloni has joined the cast of the previously titled I SUCK AT GIRLS comedy from Justin Halpern that centers on a father, Jack Dunlevy and his teen son Frankie. He will play Jack, ex-military and an oncologist who talks to everyone like they’re 75-years-old and dying of cancer: just a no bulls—t guy. Meloni last appeared on HBO’s “True Blood” and is repped by Gersh.
Amanda Peet has joined the cast of TOGETHERNESS, which follows two couples living under the same roof who struggle to keep their relationships alive while pursuing their individual dreams. She will play Tina Morris, an energetic and beautiful woman who is fun, outgoing, mischievous and smart in both dress and brainpower. Peet last recurred in “The Good Wife” and “Bent”. She is repped by Gersh.
Robert Buckley has signed onto comedy pilot HOLDING PATTERNS, which follows a group of friends whose lives completely change after they survive a plane crash. He will play Chad, an arrogant, misogynistic friend, now a successful chick-lit author who returns home for the wedding. Buckley’s last tv role was for the cancelled “666 Park Avenue”. He is repped by WME.
Lorenza Izzo has joined the cast of I AM VICTOR, which is being described as “House” revolving around a high-powered divorce attorney named Victor Port. She will play Lena Engles, a Harvard Law graduate with experience clerking for the Supreme Court and as an assistant district attorney in Boston. She will also appear in the upcoming Netflix series “Hemlock Grove” and is repped by APA. Angela Sarafyan has also joined the cast and will play Cucumber, Victor’s sassy secretary. She is repped by Innovative Artists.
Stephnie Weir will co-star in BRENDA FOREVER, that blends stories from Brenda Miller’s past and present to give a unique portrait of how a chubby, awkward but incredibly confident 13-year-old girl grew up to be a 31-year-old who still marches to the beat of her own drum. She will play play Brenda’s mom. Weir is known for “Mad TV” and most recently “Raising Hope” and is repped by UTA.
James Spader has joined the cast of THE BLACKLIST, which revolves around the world’s most-wanted criminal who mysteriously turns himself in and offers to give up everyone he has ever worked with. Spader will play the male lead, Raymond “Red” Reddington, a dignified, worldly and magnetic former Army intelligence offer who went AWOL. Spader last starred in “The Office” and is repped by ICM. Harry Lennix and Ilfenesh Hadera have also joined the cast. Lennix will play Harold Cooper, the successful yet cynical Assistant Director of Counterterrorism at the FBI. He last starred in “Emily Owens M.D.” and is repped by Innovative Artists. Hadera will play FBI Agent Jennifer Palmer, who is Elizabeth’s best friend. She is repped by Gersh.
Alfred Molina has joined the cast of ASSISTANCE, which revolves around an idealistic “working girl” assistant who is pulled between her colleague Seth and her real-life fiance while trying to manage her demanding boss Daniel. Molina will play Daniel, a very successful film producer with a large presence and thick intensity. Molina is currently starring in “Monday Mornings” which isn’t expected to be renewed. He is repped by WME.
Michiel Huisman has landed the male lead of THE SIXTH GUN, which follows the story of six mythical guns, each with its own other-worldly powers. He will play Drake Sinclair, a rogue gunslinger and handsome bastard. Coming from a shadowy past of mixed allegiances, the shrewd Drake is searching for the Sixth Gun because he believes it will lead to a great treasure. Huisman is best known for “Treme” and currently “Nashville”. He is repped by ICM.
Dermot Mulroney has joined the cast of the untitled conspiracy drama from Rand Ravich that centers on an unlikely puppeteer who will bring everyone from CEOs to the president of the United States to their knees by threatening the things they hold most dear. Mulroney will play Bill Gibson, the meek-looking man who is a chaperone of the ill-fated private school bus that is mysteriously abducted. He is currently appearing regularly in “Enlightened” and “New Girl” and is repped by WME.
Ewen Bremner has joined the cast of THE VATICAN, a thriller set against the modern-day political machinations within the Catholic Church. He will play Monsignor Alberico Iemma, who is charged with the weighty and complex job of investigating and pronouncing miracles for the Church. Bremner is repped by Global Artists Agency.
Keegan Michael Key and Brad Morris will star in an untitled comedy that revolves around a single parent, Maggie who asks her single and career-minded best friend Emma to raise her new baby; it follows the two best friends, who reunite just when they need each other the most. Key will play Mark, a cop in Emma and Maggie’s small town who has some resentment toward Emma because she turned down his proposal when they were 23 and split the following day. Morris will play Bruce, Maggie’s husband, who is caught having online sex during her baby shower. Key is known best for “Key & Peele” and is repped by UTA. Morris has recently appeared on “Modern Family” and “Cougar Town” and is repped by WME.
