Max Hernandez is joining Amazon’s pilot HAND OF GOD. The drama follows Judge Pernell (Ron Perlman), a law-bending man who goes through a religious awakening. Hernandez, who appeared on ABC’s AGENTS OF SHIELD, will recur as Toby, the chief of police in the town. Hernandez is repped by Pakula/King & Associates and New Wave Entertainment.
Elaine Tan has also been cast in a recurring role in HAND OF GOD. She will play Anne, an Ivy league-educated assistant whose eagerness and drive takes a dark turn towards opportunism and betrayal. Tan is repped by Creative Artists Management and Mosaic.

MacKenzie Porter has signed as a series regular for HELL ON WHEELS, the western drama from Entertainment One, Endemol USA, and Nomadic Pictures. Porter will play Naomi, a wife who is torn between the restrictive Mormon way of life and the promise of something more with her husband outside of Mormonism. She is repped by Red Management and KLWGN Entertainment.

Ben Miller will be appearing as a villain in the long-running DOCTOR WHO. He was also seen in JOHNNY ENGLISH and THE PRINCE AND ME. Miller is repped by Independent Talent Group.
Tom Hardy is joining TABOO for an 8-episode season. The period drama from executive producer Ridley Scott and created by Steven Knight is set in 1813 and follows a rogue adventurer who returns to England from Africa with 14 ill-gotten diamonds to seek vengeance after the death of his father. Scott Free London and Hardy Son & Baker are producing the project for BBC One and Sonar Entertainment, which is distributing the series outside the U.K. Hardy is repped by CAA and United Agents.

Salli Richardson-Whitfield has signed on for a recurring role on BEING MARY JANE. She will appear in at least 5 episodes as the best friend of the main character, who is played by Gabrielle Union. Richardson-Whitfield is repped by Innovative Artists and Frontline Management.

Mario Van Peebles is joining ONLY HUMAN, the pilot from David Marshall Grant. The medical drama is based on an Israeli show and centers on quadruplets who grew up on a reality show. Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman’s Timberman/Beverly and CBS TV Studios are producing. Peebles is repped by Mavrick Artists Agency and Luber Roklin Entertainment.
Ernie Hudson has signed on to the drama pilot SCORPION in a recurring role. The project, from writer Nick Santora, director Justin Lin, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, centers on an eccentric genius and his international network of super-geniuses. Hudson is repped by Mavrick Artists Agency.
Tessa Ferrer (GREY’S ANATOMY) has landed a recurring role in the upcoming summer drama series EXTANT, which comes from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin TV and CBS Television Studios. The series focuses on an astronaut returning home after a year in space. Ferrer is repped by Agency for the Performing Arts (APA) and the Lasher Group.
Parker Young has been tapped as the co-lead on CUZ-BROS. He’ll star alongside his ENLISTED co-star Geoff Stults in the multi-camera comedy pilot from Sony TV, CBS Studios and Fanfare. The pilot is written by David Caspe and Erik Sommers and centers on a successful sportscaster whose life gets flipped turned upside down when his slacker cousin comes to live with him. Young is repped by Gersh and David Dean Management.

Geoffrey Blake (FORREST GUMP) and Dillon Lane have been added to the cast of TEXAS RISING, the miniseries that chronicles the rise of the Texas Rangers. Blake is repped by Levine Management and Lane is repped by Abrams Artists Agency and Untitled Entertainment.

Lorenzo Richelmy has been tapped to star in MARCO POLO, the drama series based on the adventures of the famed explorer from John Fusco. Harvey Weinstein and Dan Minahan are producing. Benedict Wong (PROMETHEUS), Zhu Zhu (CLOUD ATLAS), Tom Wu (SKYFALL), Remy Hii (TREADING WATER) and Rick Yune (OlYMPUS HAS FALLEN) have also been cast in the series, which has a 10-episode order. Mia Kirshner (THE L WORD) and Waleed Zuaiter (HOMELAND) have each landed recurring roles on the untitled psychological thriller that is written and executive produced by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman, and Glenn Kessler. The 13-episode series from Sony Pictures TV revolves around four siblings whose secrets are revealed when their black sheep of a brother comes home. Linda Hamilton is joining DEFIANCE, SyFy’s drama series set in a future where aliens have come to earth seeking a new home. Hamilton is best known for her role as Sarah Conner in the 1984 classic THE TERMINATOR and its sequel. She is repped by Innovative Artists and Bobbie Edrick.

George Wendt (CHEERS) and Ashley Tisdale (HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL) will co-star in the multi-camera barbershop comedy pilot from David Kohan and Max Mutchnick. The untitled project revolves around a group of kids who at Buzzy’s Barbershop in Charlestown, MA. Wendy plays the former owner of the shop while Tisdale will plays one of the barbers. Wendt is repped by Brillstein Entertainment and AMT Artists. Tisdale is repped by UTA and Perlman Management.

Amy Jo Johnson has signed on for a recurring role in COVERT AFFAIRS. She will play Hayley, a National Counter Terrorism Center investigator who goes head-to-head with Auggie (Christopher Gorham) when the intelligence community faces a united threat.
