New comedy REALLY gains two big names: Selma Blair and Sarah Chalke. Chalke will play the lead opposite writer Jay Chandrasekhar. The show centers on a group of thirtysomething friends, specifically when one friend accidentally catches two of the group having a sexual liaison. Also joining the cast are Luka Jones, Travis Schuldt, Lindsay Sloane, Hayes Macarthur and Collette Wolfe. Chalke is repped by UTA, Blair is with Gersh.
“True Blood’s” Sam Trammell is set to star in COCKED, a drama revolving around an estranged son who has to return to work with his father and brother at the family’s gun manufacturing company after a corporate rival, run by their uncle, moves to take them over. Trammell will star as the disillusioned son, Richard Paxson. He is repped by Innovative Artists.

Ian Gomez has signed on for CUZ-BROS, a new comedy centering on Nick, a successful ladies man who works as a sportscaster for a Los Angeles TV station whose life gets turned upside down when his cousin comes to stay. Gomez will join Geoff Stults and Parker Young as Phil, Nick’s boss at the station. Gomez is repped by APA and Intellectual Artists Management.
Meg Ryan will get back to her TV roots in HOW I MET YOUR DAD, signing on to be the voice of the mother who will be played by Greta Gerwig. Ryan is repped by ICM.

John Turturro is set to replace Robert De Niro (who himself replaced James Gandolfini) on the mini-series CRIMINAL JUSTICE. Turturro will play Jack Stone, an ambulance chasing NYC attorney who gets in over his head when he takes on the case of a Pakistani man accused of murdering a young girl. De Niro stepped down due to scheduling conflicts. Turturro is repped by ICM.
Desiree Akhavan and Peter Mark Kendall are joining GIRLS for its fourth season. They will play students in the writing program that Lena Dunham’s character, Hannah, attends. Akhavan is repped by UTA while Kendall is with Abrams Artists and AC Management.

Rys Coiro and Joe Egender join the cast of TEXAS RISING, a mini-series detailing the Texas Revolution against Mexico. Coiro, repped by UTA and Untitled, will play Vern Elwood while Egender, repped by The Kohner Agency and Gartner/Green Entertainment, will play Beans Wilkins, a Ranger who is always hungry. Already attached to the show are Bill Paxton, Ray Liotta and Brendan Fraser.
Stephen Monroe Taylor has also been set to star in TEXAS RISING as Gator Davis, a fearless Texas Ranger who meets danger head on.

Eion Bailey has landed a recurring role on RAY DONOVAN playing a motivational speaker who needs Ray’s help. The show centers on Liev Schreiber’s character, Donovan, who is LA’s best professional fixer. Bailey is repped by Paradigm and Industry Entertainment.

Larenz Tate will appear as a series regular on RUSH (USA), a medical drama following Dr. Rush, a “medical fixer” who caters to the Hollywood elite. Tate will play Rush’s best friend Dr. Alex Thomas. He is repped by Paradigm and Brillstein Entertainment.
