QUARRY has added Mary Elizabeth Winstead to its cast to star alongside Logan Marshall-Green and Stellan Skarsgard. Marshall-Green stars as as veteran who becomes involved in assassinations upon returning from the war. Winstead will play his wife. Winstead is a rising actress who starred in the last “Die Hard” films as well as the indie pic “Smashed”. She is repped by WME. Nikki Amuka-Bird has also joined the project as the wife of one of Marshall-Green’s war friends. She currently stars on BBC’s “Luther” and is repped by Greene & Associates Talent Agency.
Miles Fisher and Mike Castle will star in the pilot BAD ADVICE FROM MY BROTHER. Fisher will play the older, less mature brother with Castle playing his younger sibling who is hoping to follow in Fisher’s footsteps. Fisher starred in the films “J. Edgar” and “The Babymakers” and is repped by UTA. Castle is repped by CAA.
John Hurt will star alongside Corey Stoll and Mia Maestro in THE STRAIN, which centers on a team of scientists investigating a vampiric virus. Hurt will play a Holocaust survivor who moved to the United States following WWII and may have the answers to the outbreak. Hurt last starred in “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy” and will next appear in “Snowpiercer”. He is repped by Resolution. Jack Kesy will also appear as a hard-partying goth rocker. He is repped by Paradigm.
Liv Tyler will star in THE LEFTOVERS, which centers on the people who did not ascend to Heaven during the Rapture. Tyler will play a woman who was about to get married pre-Apocalypse and now is the target of a cult. Tyler last starred in the indie “Robot & Frank” and is repped by UTA. Margaret Qualley has also joined the series as Justin Theroux’s straight-A high school student. She is repped by UTA.
Jesse Lee Soffer will appear as a regular on CHICAGO PD as a detective from a rough upbringing. His character will first be introduced in episodes of CHICAGO FIRE before transitioning over. He starred as Travis Alexander in Lifetime’s Jodi Arias movie and is repped by Innovative Artists.
Patrick Fischler and Stephen Monroe Taylor have joined the cast of the gangster series LOST ANGELS. Fischler will play a mob boss by the name of Meyer Lansky while Taylor will play an associate of Bugsy Seigal. Fischler has appeared in “Lost” and “Californication” and will next be seen in the Mark Wahlberg-Denzel Washington film “2 Guns”. He is repped by Abrams Artists Agency. Taylor can be seen in “Anger Management” and is repped by Amsel, Eisenstadt & Frazier.
