Craig Roberts has nabbed the lead role in RED OAKS. The period drama centers on David Myers, a 20-year-old college student who gets a job as an assistant tennis pro at a Jewish country club in the 1980s. Roberts is repped by WME, Brillstein Entertainment and Curtis Brown Group.

Alex Russell will star in GALYNTINE, a fantasy sci-fi project set in a postapocalyptic future without technology where a small band of survivors is forced to adapt to isolation and the challenges of their new world. Russell will play Roman, an orphan who will eventually become the leader of the colony until he gets put on a different and more dangerous path. He is repped by UTA and United Management.

Marc-Andre Grondin, Denis Menochet, Miranda Raison and “Downton Abbey’s” Brendan Coyle have all been cast in the upcoming crime drama SPOTLESS. The project, set in London, follows a troubled man whose well-ordered life is turned upside down after his outlaw brother comes back into his life, involving them both in the corrupt world of organized crime. Tanya Fear, who is repped by Hamilton Hodell and 3 Arts Entertainment, also joins the cast. Grondin is repped by UTA and Thruline Entertainment; Menochet is repped by Tavistock Wood Management; Raison is with The Artists Partnership; and Coyle is with Curtis Brown Group and The Schiff Company.

Elden Henson is set to play Foggy Nelson, best friend of Matt Murdock, in DAREDEVIL. The superhero project follows Murdock, a blind lawyer, and his alter ego Daredevil, who fights crime using his heightened senses. Henson joins Vincent D’Onofrio, Rosario Dawson, and Charlie Cox. He is repped by TalentWorks and Generate.
P.J. Byrne is set to star in Martin Scorsese’s UNTITLED ROCK N’ ROLL PILOT. Set in the New York music scenes of the 1970s, the project follows record exec Richie Finestra as he triest to resurrect his label and find the next new sound. Byrne will play his partner, Scott Levitt. He is repped by Greene & Associatese Talent Agency and Principato-Young Entertainment.
Also set to join Martin Scorsese’s UNTITLED ROCK N’ ROLL PILOT are Joe Caniano, Andrew “Dice” Clay, Ato Essandoh, Robert Funaro, Birgitte Sorenson, J.C. Mackenzie, and Mick Jagger’s son, James Jagger. Mick Jagger is executive producing the pilot along with Scorsese, Terence Winter, George Mastras, and Rick Yorn.

Ann Dowd has been cast in BIG DRIVER, a TV movie based on a Stephen King novella. The project centers on a famous mystery writer who is left for dead after a brutal attack and begins a quest for revenge. Dowd joins Maria Bello as event planner Ramona. She is repped by Innovative Artists and Principal Entertainment.

Daryl Hannah, Naveen Andrews and Brian J. Smith are all set to join Freema Agyeman, Terrence Mann and Alfonso Herrera in SENSE8, an upcoming sci-fi drama that follows eight people around the world who become telepathically linked after a tragic death. Also joining the cast are Tuppence Middleton, Ami Ameen, Doona Bae, Max Riemelt, Tena Desae, Jamie Clayton, and Miguel Silvestri.

Brandon P. Bell, Tiffany Lonsdale and Jacqueline Byers will join Tricia Helfer and Brian Van Holt in ASCENSION. The mini-series centers on hundreds of people on a ship who are sent on a covert, century-long mission to find and populate a new world. Bell plays First Officer Oren Gault, while Lonsdale has been cast as Chief Astronomer Emily Vanderhaus. Byers will play Nora Bryce, a girl who, against her mother’s wishes, is drawn to the Terraforming Department.
