Jennie Garth will be joining Tori Spelling in ABC’s comedy pilot MYSTERY GIRLS. The series, created by Shepard Boucher and Spelling, will follow a former Mystery TV star (Spelling) who teams up with her former co-host (Garth) to solve real crimes. In addition to starring, Garth and Spelling will also serve as executive producers. Garth is best known for her roles in Fox’s “Beverly Hills, 90210”, the CW’s reboot of the West Beverly Hills drama “90210” and WB TV’s “What I Like About You.” Garth is repped by Paradigm.
“Pretty Little Liars” star Ashley Benson will be stopping by ABC’s new spinoff series RAVENSWOOD. Her character Hanna will make a guest appearance on the show’s fifth episode where she’ll talk to Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) on the phone. Benson is best known for her performances on “Days of Our Lives”, ABC’s “Eastwick” and of course ABC’s “Pretty Little Liars.” Benson is repped by WME.
Sharon Lawrence, Andrew Howard, Arielle Kebbel and Jaina Lee Ortiz have joined the cast of Amazon’s pilot THE AFTER. Jamie Kennedy, Adrian Pasdar and Aldis Hodge already star in the Chris Carter created series that tracks the lives of multiple people during the apocalypse. Ortiz will play Marly Gonzalez, a young police officer. Lawrence is set to play Francis, a wealthy woman living in the Bel Air neighborhood. Howard will play McCormack, a foul-mouthed Irishman. Kebbel will have the role of Tammy, a beautiful business woman. Amy Price-Francis has jumped aboard Amazon’s drama pilot BOSCH. Based on Michael Connelly’s “Harry Bosch” novels, the series follows the adventures of L.A. homicide detective Harry Bosch. Price-Francis is set to play Sunny Chander, a talented lawyer representing the wife of a criminal Bosch killed a while back. Price-Francis is best known for her performances in A&E’s “The Cleaner”, Showcase’s “King” and Damian Lee’s feature action-thriller “Breakout.” Price-Francis is repped by AMI Artist Management.
Beau Garrett has joined the cast of Bravo’s GIRLFRIENDS’ GUIDE TO DIVORCE. Based on Vicki Iovine’s series of novels, the show follows the author of a best-selling self-help book who is hiding the fact that she is actually separated from her husband and struggling to navigate life as a single woman. Garrett will play Phoebe, one of the author’s best friends who is often tapped for advice. Garrett is best known for her roles in Joseph Kosinski’s “TRON: Legacy”, John Stockwell’s “Turistas” and Kristjan Thor’s “Dividing Normal.” She is repped by Paradigm.
Bess Armstrong has jumped aboard the cast of CBS’ legal drama RECKLESS. The series follows the adventures of Yankee litigator Roya Rayder (Cam Gigandet) and southern attorney Jamie Sawyer (Anna Wood). Armstrong will appear as Melinda, Roy’s mother. Armstrong completed a short 8 episode stint on Showtime’s “House of Lies” as Julianne Hotschragar back in April. She also appeared in John Waters’ “Pecker”, Dan Cohen’s “Corporate Affairs” and ABC’s “My So-Called Life.” Armstrong is repped by David Shapira & Associates.
Michael Malarkey will be returning to the CW for a major recurring role on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES. He will star as Enzo, a troubled soul from Damon’s past who makes Mystic Falls his new home. Malarkey is best known for his performances in Oliver Krimpas’ short fantasy film “Ghost in the Machine”, Sarah Baker’s “Impirioso” and Alex Graves’ TV movie (which aired on the CW) “The Selection.” He is repped by Hatton McEwan Penford.
Montego Glover has joined the cast of Fox’s crime-drama THE FOLLOWING. She will play an FBI analyst in the upcoming second season of the Kevin Williamson created show. Glover is best known for her performances in Don Roy King’s “Memphis the Musical” and NBC’s musical-drama “Smash.” She will be appearing next in Kenneth Branagh’s “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.” Glover is repped by Douglas, Gorman, Rothacker & Wilhelm.
Nick Offerman will make a guest appearance on THE SIMPSONS. Unfortunately there’s no word right now of what he’ll be doing on the show, but if I had to guess, I would say it will be something involving hunting, red meat or the government. Offerman is best known for his role as Ron Swanson on NBC’s hilarious series “Parks and Recreation.” He is also the voice of Axe Cop and an executive producer on the new Fox animated series “Axe Cop.” Offerman is repped by UTA.
“Breaking Bad” star Bob Odenkirk is joining the cast of FX’s FARGO in a supporting role. It is currently unclear what role he will have on the show that also stars Glenn Howerton, Kate Walsh and Oliver Platt. Odenkirk is best known for his career making role as Saul Goodman on AMC’s “Breaking Bad.” He also voiced a large amount of characters on Adult Swim’s “Tom Goes to the Mayor” and hosted “Mr. Show with Bob and David” on HBO alongside David Cross. Odenkirk is repped by WME.
David Milch’s THE MONEY is at it again. Ray Liotta and Mamie Gummer have joined the cast of the HBO drama pilot which currently has Brendan Gleeson, Nathan Lane and Patrick Kennedy attached. Liotta will recur as George Archer, an insanely wealthy Wall Street tycoon. Gummer will have a recurring role as Tricia Castman, John Castman’s (Kennedy) old wife. Liotta is best known for his performances in Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas”, Ridley Scott’s “Hannibal” and most recently Derek Cianfrance’s “The Place Beyond the Pines.” He is repped by UTA. Ryan Kelley will have a short character arc on MTV’s TEEN WOLF. He will appear as the newest recruit of the Beacon Hills Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Sheriff Perish. He will help Stilinski (Linden Ashby) with investigating the supernatural occurrences in the Northern California town. Kelley was last seen in John Stimpson’s TV movie “Sexting in Suburbia” and made a guest appearance on Tom Holland’s horror series “Twisted Tales.” Kelley is repped by APA.
Amir Arison has nabbed a recurring role on NBC’s new series THE BLACKLIST. He will play FBI Tech Specialist Aram Mojtabi who is overly enthusiastic and desperate to fit in at the bureau. Arison is best known for his roles in Thomas McCarthy’s “The Visitor”, Nia Vardalos’ “I Hate Valentine’s Day”, David Kaplan’s “Today’s Special” and Amy Heckerling’s “Vamps.” Arison is repped by Bauman, Redanty & Shaul.
Meg Ryan will be starring in an untitled NBC comedy. She will play a single mother who decides to return to her New York-based publishing house, where she finds that her former intern is now her boss. Ryan will also be serving as an executive producer. Ryan was most recently in “The Women” and “The Deal” and is repped by ICM.
Madeline Brewer will be returning to Netflix, as she has booked a recurring role on the streaming service’s original series HEMLOCK GROVE. She will appear as a graphic novelist who arrives at the town. Brewer’s only previous credit, a strong one though, was a short run as Tricia Miler on Netflix’s “Orange is the New Black.” Brewer is repped by Judy Boals Talent & Literary Agency.
T.I. has joined the cast of Showtime’s comedy series HOUSE OF LIES. He will guest star as Lukas, the co-owner of a clothing company which he runs with friend Dre (Mekhi Phifer). He enlists Marty (Don Cheadle) to help their massive company grow even larger. T.I. is best known for his performances in John Luessenhop’s “Takers”, Ridley Scott’s “American Gangster” and Seth Gordon’s “Identity Thief.” T.I. is repped by UTA.
Ashley Madekwe has joined WGN’s SALEM. Set in 17th century Massachusetts, the series explores what really fueled the town’s infamous witch hunts. Madekwe is set to play Tituba, the most powerful witch in the town and right hand of Mary Sibley. Madekwe most recently completed a two year run on ABC’s “Revenge” as Ashley Davenport. She also appeared in “How to Lose Friends & Alienate People” and “Cassandra’s Dream.” Madekwe is repped by Gersh.
