Ming-Na Wen is all set to star in Joss Whedon’s SHIELD as one of the leads. She will play Agent Melinda May, soulful and slightly damaged by her combat experiences, but she is also an ace pilot, a weapons expert and a soldier who can go beyond the call of duty. Wen, best known in TV for “ER” was last in the Syfy shows “SGU: Stargate Universe” and “Eureka”. She is repped by Innovative Artists.
Mo Gaffney, Dan Castellaneta and Angelique Cabral will star in the upcoming comedy pilot CONTINUING FRED alongside Mimi Gianopuloshas. The project follows Fred, a mid-twenties slacker who finds new meaning for her life when she becomes an elementary school teacher. Gaffney and Castellaneta will play Fred’s parents with Cabral playing a friend living with her husband’s mom. Gaffney, who most recently starred in “House of Lies”, is repped by Stone Manners Salners Agency. Castellaneta, best known as the voice of Homer Simpson, is repped by Sovereign Talent Group. Cabral stars in “Devious Maids” and is repped by Pakula/King & Associates.
Aisha Dee has joined the ABC drama pilot TERMINALES, which follows an up-and-coming journalist (Italia Ricci) who finds out she has terminal cancer. Dee will play Beth, her best friend. She has starred in “I Hate My Teenage Daughter” and “Terra Nova” and is repped by SDB Partners.

Brandon T. Jackson is in final talks to land the role of Aaron, Axel Foley’s son in the TV reboot of BEVERLY HILLS COP. Aaron is a young police officer trying to escape the shadow of his father (Eddie Murphy) and make a name for himself within the police force. Jackson had a starring role as Alpa Chino in the action comedy “Tropic Thunder” and was also featured in “Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief”. He is repped by CAA.
BLUE BLOODS has tapped Megan Boone for a three episode arc as Danny Reagan’s temporary partner while they await the return of series regular Jennifer Esposito, who is currently out on medical leave. Boone has had previous roles on “Law & Order: LA” and “Cold Case”. She will next be seen in the drama “Leave Me Like You Found Me”. She is repped by Gersh.

Christopher Guest’s FAMILY TREE added actors Matt Griesser, Maria Blasucci and Lisa Palfrey in guest starring roles. Griesser will play the American cousin of Chris O’Dowd’s character Tom, Blasucci Greg’s girlfriend, and Palfrey the wife of Tom’s father, played by Michael McKean. Griessar last seen in “Rules of Engagement”, with Blasucci having a role in NBC’s “Community” and Palfrey was last in “The Inspector Lynley Mysteries”.
Gary Cole has joined the cast of the Emmy-nommed comedy show VEEP in a major recurring role. He will play a Karl-Rove-esque character named Kent alongside series star Julia Louis-Dreyfus. This isn’t Cole’s first political role as he played Vice President Robert in Aaron Sorkin’s “The West Wing”. He will next be seen in the comedy film “Gay Dude”. He is repped by Gersh.

David Conrad will play the male lead in the drama pilot THE SECRET LIVES OF WIVES. He will play Wil, an erudite, handsome English lit professor who his wife nursed through a serious illness 15 year earlier. Conrad known for “The Ghost Whisperer” has also had roles in “The Good Wife” and “The Firm”. He is repped by Gersh.

Adam Baldwin will replace Titus Welliver in TNT’s drama pilot THE LAST SHIP. Baldwin will play Mike Slattery, second in command aboard the USS Nathan James who’s described as a fair but firm man who loves his family deeply. Baldwin, no stranger to TV, was most recently a regular of “Chuck” and was also in the fan favorite “Firefly” by Joss Whedon. He’s also play roles in “Leverage” and “Castle” (reunited with his Firefly Co-star Nathan Fillion). He is repped by APA.
Rebecca Romijn has been cast in the leading female role opposite Jon Tenney in TNT’s pilot KING AND MAXWELL. Romijn will play Michelle Maxwell, half of the King-Maxwell partnership of two private investigators, both former secret service agents. Romijn has starred in the “X-Men” films as the mutant Mystique and currently stars in Cartoon Network’s “NTSF:SD:SUV”. She will next be seen in the Sci-Fi thriller “The Tenth Victim”. Larenz Tate has joined the cast of HOUSE OF LIES as a regular. He will play Malcolm, the brother to Don Cheadle’s character, who is perhaps smarter and more ruthless than Cheadle’s character and also the favorite son according to their father. Tate was last in FX’s “Justified”. He is repped by APA.
