In a move that comes as little surprise, Chevy Chase has left COMMUNITY. The comedy actor had never been pleased with the show and had continual run-ins with creator Dan Harmon, culminating in an explicit voicemail he left the showrunner. Best known as Clark Griswald in the “National Lampoon Vacation” films, Chase will next star in the comedy pic “Lovesick”. He is repped by Paradigm.
Hugh Laurie is in talks to star as infamous pirate Blackbeard on the NBC show CROSSBONES. The project is set in 1715 on the Bahama island of New Providence and follows Blackbeard and his crew as they terrorize the commerce island. Best known for his titular role in Fox’s “House”, Laurie is coming off the indie dramedy “The Oranges” and will next be seen in “Mr. Pip”. He is repped by Hamilton Hodell and WME.
