ABC has bought up, and handed out a pilot commitment to single-cam-comedy SUBURGATORY from writer/exec producer Emily Kapnek. Series is pitched as a satirical look at life in the suburbs, through the eyes of a quintessential New Yorker, who discovers that life outside Gotham is more frightening that any horror movie.
ABC has snatched up new police drama PARTNERS from writer/exec producer Ed Bernero. Series centers on two female police detectives who are fiercely loyal to one another since they’re also secretly sisters.
ABC has also decided to get into the scripted side of musical pieces, picking up the dance series GRACE from writer/exec producer Krista Vernoff. Series, which is likened to “Glee” and exec produced by Carrie Ann Inaba, centers on a dysfunctional family in the world of professional dance.
ABC has finally decided to move forward with the reboot of CHARLIE’S ANGELS from writers/exec producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. Script pick up was announced in October, 2010.
CBS has ordered up new medical series the UNTITLED SUSANNAH GRANT DRAMA from writer/exec producer Susannah Grant. Series, which Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly also exec produce, centers on an ultra-competitive surgeon whose life life is changed forever when his ex-wife dies and begins teaching him what life is all about from the hereafter.
CBS has picked up and greenlit new drama pilot RINGER from writers/exec producers Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder. Series, which Peter Traugott and Sarah Michelle Gellar will also exec produce (Gellar will also star), centers on a troubled young woman who, while on the run from the mob, hides out by inhabiting the life of her wealthy twin sister, until she learns that her twin’s life has a bounty on it as well.
MTV has made it official, announcing they’ve picked up the pilot to series for I JUST WANT MY PANTS BACK from writer/exec producer (and author of the book of the same name it is based on) David Rosen. Series, which Doug Liman and Dave Bartis also exec produce, centers on a group of young 20-somethings who grapple with dating, romance and becoming adults in New York City.
TNT has move forward to pick up to pilot the flashback drama series GENERATIONS from writer/exec producer John Sacret Young. Series, which will also be exec produced by Bill Holderman and Robert Redford, jumps back and forth in time in order to chronicle three generations of a Southern family that have all lived in the same house.

SHOWTIME has decided, after just one episode, to renew stand-out series CALIFORNICATION for a fifth season.
