DISNEY CHANNEL has moved into development on creating its new young female star by moving forward with JESSIE from executive producer Pam Eels. The project, which will star new Disney star Debby Ryan, will center on a teen (Ryan) who moves from rural Texas to New York and becomes an au pair to a wealthy family with four children.
HBO has made a move to pick up the new drama pilot UPSTATE from writers/exec producers Brett C. Leonard and Bob Glaudini. The series, which will be exec produced by Philip Seymour Hoffman, Michael Rosenberg and Emily Ziff, centers on a recently laid-off man, who relocates his family to rural America to become a correctional officer in a new private prison run for profit. However, as the town and his family prosper, the man encounters conflict and danger every day inside and outside the prison walls.

Kelsey Grammar has signed on to direct the upcoming multi-cam comedy pilot VINCE UNCENSORED.
Rebecca Sinclair, the showrunner for the reboot of the 90210 series has decided not to renew her contract, and will exit the series.
