LIFETIME has handed out a pilot order for rom/com laugher MODERN LOVE from writer/executive producer Jenny Bicks. The project, which will also be executive produced by Gail Berman, Lloyd Braun, Gene Stein and Alan Poul, follows newspaper science editor Simon McElvane as he faces a deteriorating marriage, the ramifications of potentially starting over, the balancing act of maintaining his relationship with his adopted 15-year-old daughter, and most unexpectedly – the new editor job for the newspaper’s “Modern Love” column.

TV RENEWALS
COMEDY CENTRAL has handed out a second season renewal for new comedy series WORKAHOLICS.
FOX has picked up a seventh season of network hit BONES.
LIFETIME has scheduled for a season six renewal of drama series ARMY WIVES.
TV DEALS
Chrissy Pietrosh and Jessica Goldstein have signed an exclusive 2-year development deal with ABC. As part of the deal, the two will continue their duties on “Cougar Town” while also developing new material for the network.
Glenn Gordon Caron has signed on for a new 2-year/7-figure deal with CBS. As part of the pact, Caron (whose last project was “Medium”) will continue to develop new material for the network.
TV ATTACHMENTS
Michael Cuesta, who directed the pilot for the new pilot HOMELAND, will continue on the series as an executive producer for SHOWTIME.
