SALES & PICK-UPS:

ABC has picked up to series pilot comedies , THE NEIGHBORS, , and . Also in the order are dramas , , , and from “The Shield” creator Shawn Ryan.

CW is in big business with producer Josh Schwartz, as they have just ordered two of his new pilots to series, and . Other new pilots also picked up include and . Superhero drama has also been greenlit.

NBC has ordered episodes of two new series, medical drama and the detective soap . They have also given a last-minute order to the Dane Cook starrer

RENEWALS:

ABC has renewed the breakout comedy for a third season. The order is for a full 22-episode season for the Sony Television produced show. The Shonda Rhimes drama has also been renewed. Freshman comedy DON’T TRUST THAT B– IN APT. 23 has been renewed for a second season. Procedural has been renewed with a 13-episode order

CW has renewed freshman series and . Dixie, starring Rachel Bilson received a full 22-episode order. has been granted a shortened and final season.

FOX has renewed animated comedies and for their 11th and 8th seasons, respectively.

NBC has officially renewed for its seventh – and final – season, while is returning for its 4th. has also been picked up for a new season. Also renewed by the network is the pop-culture comedy . The surprise, however, comes with the renewal of their freshman comedy for a second season. They have also given a last-minute order to , starring Christina Applegate and Will Arnett.

CANCELED:

ABC has pulled the plug on the Kisten Chenoweth comedy . Also canceled are , Ashley Judd-starrer , and found-footage thriller .

CW has decided to swing the axe on freshman dramas and Sarah Michelle Gellar-starrer .

FOX has put the official kibosh on newbie dramas and , as well as and .

NBC has canceled five shows: Comedies ?, BEST FRIENDS FOREVER, and , as well as HARRY’S LAW and .

DEALS:

After over a decade developing for 20th Century TV, is taking his talents to CBS TV in  a new four year overall deal.
