CBS has picked up two comedy pilots to series: the multi-camera PARTNERS and FRIEND ME. ELEMENTARY, the modern day take on Sherlock Holmes, has also been picked up by the Eye Network. Running the gamut for possible dramas, CBS has picked up legal drama MADE IN JERSEY, period drama VEGAS, and cop drama GOLDEN BOY.
ABC has picked up the half-hour comedy MALIBU COUNTRY with Reba McEntire.
RENEWALS
CBS has renewed CSI: NY for a ninth season. After reaching deals with the main stars, TWO AND A HALF MEN will be brought back for a tenth season.
ABC’s LAST MAN STANDING will be brought back for a second season of laughs. PRIVATE PRACTICE has officially been renewed for what will likely be its final season.
CANCELED
CBS has cancelled CSI: MIAMI after ten years on the air. Joining the TV veteran are rookie dramas UNFORGETTABLE, A GIFTED MAN, and NYC 22. Freshman comedy ROB has also been cancelled.
ATTACHMENTS
1600 PENN, the new NBC comedy about family life in the White House, has brought Mike Royce on as showrunner. Royce is best known as the creator of “Men of a Certain Age” and co-executive producer for “Everybody Loves Raymond.”
Former “Community” executive producers Garrett Donovan and Neil Goldman will act as showrunners for the brand-new Fox comedy BEN AND KATE, a single-camera comedy about adult siblings having to live together.
