STARZ will be teaming up with Steven S. DeKnight, of “Spartacus”, to develop INCURSION – a sci-fi thriller about a group of soldiers entangled in an alien war. Also in development at Starz is VLAD DRACULA, a drama which will follow the famed vampire as he struggles to retain his humanity.
RENEWALS
TNT has renewed its Spielberg-produced Sci-Fi drama FALLING SKIES for a third season. “Skies” was last summer’s most-watched cable premiere, and the show continues to be popular. The network will also renew “Rizzoli & Isles” for a fourth season and freshman drama “Dallas” for a second.
DEALS
Jake Kasdan has signed a two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV, and as part of the deal, he will continue as executive producer on the hit comedy “New Girl” and new comedy “Ben and Kate.” He will also develop new projects as part of the deal. His previous television stints include “Californication” and “Undeclared.” On the big screen, he directed the surprise hit “Bad Teacher.”
