USA Network has found their replacements for exiting (medical reasons) showrunner/EP John McNamara on IN PLAIN SIGHT, with “There’s Something About Mary” writers Ed Decter and John Strauss. Decter and Strauss will serve as the new showrunners and EPs for the series at least for the next two season which the show has already been renewed for.
MTV has confirmed they have picked-up a new docu-series starring Lauren Conrad (Hills) as she attempts to build her fashion company from the ground floor up.
Jeff Daniels has penned, and co-created with Timothy Busfield, HAPPILY EVER AFTER for Showtime about a Michigan factory worker who quits his job to pursue a music career. Busfield will direct the pilot.
Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Edwards have also co-created a drama on Showtime, written by “Weeds” scribe Roberto Benabib, about two partners running a firm related to the world of media crisis management. CBS TV Studios will produce with Ruffalo, Edwards, Benabib and Cheryl Dollins executive producing.
