MTV has handed out a pilot order to the American redo of Brit-series THE INBETWEENERS, which Brad Copeland will serve as writer, showrunner and exec producer. Series, which revolves around four high school boys who belong to the “inbetweeners” social class — teens who are not the most cool and popular but not geeky enough to be branded uncool, is in it’s second attempt at coming to America, after a failed go with ABC two years ago.
USA locked up a couple time-slots next season by renewing their series ROYAL PAINS, WHITE COLLAR and PSYCH. While Pains and Collar are back for a third season, Psych will be knocking out it’s sixth season.
