TV SALES:
ABC has bought new thriller drama INHUMANS from writer/exec producer Michael Cooney. Series will see the pilot directed by Mark Pellington, who will also exec produce with Kim Moses, Ian Sander and Cooney.
ABC has also bought AFTERWIVES from writers/exec producers Jennifer Weiner and Michael MacLennan. Series will be exec produced by Kim Moses and Ian Sander.
ABC FAMILY has greenlit the pilot for new series NINE LIVES from writer Dan Berendsen, who will exec produce alongside Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo. Series, based on the young-adult novels by Celia Thomson, centers on a teenager with heightened abilities who discovers she’s being pursued by a mysterious figure.
CBS has snatched up CHICAGO FIRE from writer Lewis Colick. Colick will exec produce alongside Kim Moses and Ian Sander.
COMEDY CENTRAL has picked up, and commited to a pilot for WAITING… based on the indie comedy of the same name from writer/director Rob McKittrick. The 1/2 pilot, which was originally picked up in May from writer McKittrick, will shoot this fall with producers Jeff Balis and Thomas Augsberger onboard to EP alongside McKittrick.
FOX has given green to the comic book adaptation pilot for LOCKE & KEY, from writer/exec producer Josh Friedman, and fellow exec producers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
FX has handed out a 13-episode order for the comedy WILFRED from writer/exec producer David Zuckerman. Series, which is a remake of the Aussie series of the same name, stars Elijah Wood as a socially awkward introvert who meets “Wilfred” described as part Australian Shepherd, part Russell Crowe on a bender — except the rest of the world sees Wilfred as a dog, while Wood simply sees him as a man dressed in a dog suit. Wood, Rich Frank, Paul Frank, Jeff Kwatinetz, Joe Connor and Ken Conner.
NBC has picked up the comedy LIFE IS GOOD from writers/exec producers Chris Pappas, Mike Bernier and Scot Armstrong. Series, which will also be exec produced by Ravi Nandan, centers on the white husband and father of two young girls, whose mellow suburban family world is thrown into chaos when he is found by the 19-year-old mixed race son he never knew he had. Pappas and Bernier will write the pilot.
NBC has snatched up TOMMY’S LITTLE GIRL from Jamie Foxx, Deon Taylor and writer Jorge Zamacona. Series, which Foxx shot a pilot for starring Selma Blair and Paul Sorvino, is being pitched as “La Femme Nikita” meets “The Sopranos” and will be exec produced by Foxx, Taylor, Zamacona and No Brainer Films. Zamacona will write the script based on the idea by Foxx and Taylor.
STARZ has bought the new planned single-season run of PINKERTON from writer/exec producer Bob Cochran. Series, which will center on Allan Pinkerton, creator of the Pinkerton National Detective Agency, the first detective agency in the U.S. and the many adventures he faced. Gerard Butler, Angela Mancuso, Alan Siegel and the production company Evil Twins will exec produce.

ABC has give a full season order to freshman series NO ORDINARY FAMILY.
ABC has also given a full season order to BETTER WITH YOU, for it’s freshman season.
ABC has ordered an additional 2-3 episodes of new series DETROIT 187.
ABC has ordered an additional 2 episodes for vet series BROTHERS & SISTERS.
CBS has ordered two more episodes from over-performing series RULES OF ENGAGEMENT.
FOX has ordered two more scripts for the upcoming sophmore season of HUMAN TARGET.

ABC has officially pulled the plug on underperforming series THE WHOLE TRUTH.
TV ATTACHMENTS & DEALS:
UNIVERSAL CABLE has given Andrew Lenchewski and Michael Rauch a 2-year re-up on their overall deal, and as part of it, they will remain as exec producers on ROYAL PAINS.
FOX has signed an exclusive deal with writer/director/producer/actor Alex Borstein. Deal calls for Borstein (Family Guy) to develop and write two new shows (one animated, one live action) for her to star in and produce.
