Video-gamers can rejoice knowing that Steven Spielberg will be executive producing a live-action HALO television series. There’s no word on what will be covered in the series of if it will follow a specific installment of the franchise.
FX has picked up THE COMEDIANS for a pilot. The project, which will star Billy Crystal, centers on a family-friendly veteran comedian who gets paired with a raunchy, up-and-coming funny man for a late night show. Larry Charles, Matt Nix and Ben Wexler wrote the pilot and will serve as exec producers with Crystal. all three men are repped by WME.
TV PICKUPS
BAD TEACHER has been picked up by CBS for a 13-episode season. The project stars Ari Graynor and was written by Hilary Winston (UTA).
TV DEALS
Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky have signed two-year overall deals with ABC. They are both repped by WME.
Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts will serve as executive producers on “Revenge” under the new two-year overall deal they signed with ABC. They are repped by ICM.
TV ATTACHMENTS
David Slade will direct the first episode of Syfy’s HELIX, which centers on a group of scientists investigating a disease outbreak. Slade directed the “Hannibal” TV series as well as “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”. He is repped by WME.
TV GREENLIGHTS
Peter Ocko’s DIVIDE & CONQUER has been greenlit by USA. The project centers on four siblings trying to make it in the real world, and their parents who are pushed to the edge trying to help them. Ocko is repped by Vision Art Management.
