TV SALES
Andrew Gross’ novel NO WAY BACK has been picked up by ABC to be developed for television. Jessica Sharzer wrote the script for the project, which centers on two woman who team up while trying to prove their innocence in respective cases. Sharzer is repped by CAA.
SURVIVOR’S REMORSE is being developed by Starz with LeBron James exec producing alongside Tom Werner, Mike O’Malley, Maverick Carter and Paul Wachter. The project centers on two friends trying to make it out of a rough Philadelphia neighborhood. O’Malley who’s repped by CAA, will write the script.
Lauren Iungerich has sold DAMAGED GOODS to ABC. The comedy centers on the evolving sexual politics between men and women. Iungerich is repped by WME.
Ricky Blitt’s spec HERE’S YOUR DAMN FAMILY has landed at Fox. The project centers on a mid-thrirties man living with his mom, who, upon getting married, has her husband and his three children move in with them. Blitt is repped by WME.
Fox is putting a project based on the life of Judge Greg Mathis into development. Mathis and Ellen DeGeneres will exec produce with writers Todd Jones and Earl Richey Jones.
WGN America is developing a series based on The Manhattan Project. The project, titled MANHATTAN, centers on the scientists involved in the production of the first atomic bomb in the lead up to the bombing of Japan. Sam Shaw wrote the project with Thomas Schlamme directing. The two will exec produce with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Marcy Ross.
ABC has purchased FIRST TIMERS from the writing team of Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. The project centers on two business partners in their twenties. Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will exec produce. Aptaker and Berger are repped by Verve.
NBC has purchased FORMER FAT GIRL from J.J. Philbin. The project draws slightly from the book “10 Lessons From a Former Fat Girl” written by Amy Parham and centers on a woman experiencing life in new and unique ways after losing a large amount of weight. Philbin will executive produce with Jason Katims and Michelle Lee. He is repped by UTA.
Joshua Safran has sold a project to ABC and another to Fox. SOCIAL CIRCLE, set up at ABC, centers on a group of friends from college who all come back together in their twenties and realize they have little in common. Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage will exec produce. Fox’s ROYAL centers on a royal family member who is disowned after having an affair and forced to take a job working as an assistant to a sex and drug-addicted designer. Safran is with UTA.
Matt Angel has sold his script HALF to NBC. Based on a true story, the project centers on a teenage girl conceived through artificial insemination who convinces her family to help her find her other siblings. Dan Angel (Matt’s father) will exec produce. Matt is repped by APA.
David Hudgins will write and exec produce an untitled drama for CBS. The project centers on an unruly judge who always goes against protocol. Hudgins is repped by UTA.
ABC is developing an untitled project from Sarah Thorp, which centers on a family that fall victim to a stalker. Thorp, who is repped by CAA, will exec produce with David Shore, Robyn Meisinger and Adam Kolbrenner.

Aaron Sorkin’s THE NEWSROOM has been renewed by HBO for a third season.
TV CANCELLATIONS
Alan Ball’s popular vampire series TRUE BLOOD will end after its upcoming seventh season.
TV ATTACHMENTS
Jodie Foster will be directing an episode of the second season of Netflix’s hit series HOUSE OF CARDS. Foster, who is repped by UTA, can be seen in Neill Blomkamp’s “Elysium” and last served as a director on “The Beaver”, which she also starred in.
