Nick Zano, Channing Tatum and Reid Carolin have sold NICKY to Warner Bros. Zano will star in the project, which he also wrote and centers on his own experiences growing up in a multi-generational household with seven women. Tatum and Carolin will exec produce. Zano is repped by UTA.
Amazon Studios has put BOSCH into development. The project is based on the crime-drama novels by Michael Connelly (who also wrote the pilot with Eric Overmyer) which star homicide detective Harry Bosch. Connelly and Overmyer will exec produce with Mikkel Bondesen and Henrik Bastin. Overmyer is repped by CAA.
Showtime is developing a comedy project from David Cross that centers on a travel writer trying to support his two families that don’t know about each other. Cross wrote the pilot and will exec produce with Tim Sarkes. Cross is repped by UTA.
Netflix has picked up the horror series HEMLOCK GROVE for a second season.
The “Boy Meets World” sequel/spinoff GIRL MEETS WORLD has been ordered to series by Disney. The network has also ordered I DIDN’T DO IT to series as well.
FX has picked up an untitled comedy from Bob Boyett and Robert Horn which stars Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammar as two lawyers who quickly become friends and partners when they meet in court on the worst day of their lives. Horn is repped by CAA and will exec produce with Boyett.
Jonathan Demme will direct AMC’s pilot LINE OF SIGHT, which centers on an investigator for the National Transportation Safety Board who survives a plane crash and dedicates himself to figuring out what caused the accident. Demme directed “The Silence of the Lambs” and the upcoming documentary “Enzo Avitabile Music Life”. He is repped by WME.
Randall Einhorn will direct the FX pilot DEATH PACT. The project centers on a reformed slacker-turned-war-hero who returns to his hometown and helps his three down-trodden friends. Einhorn, who is repped by WME, has previously directed episodes of “The Office”, “Modern Family” and “Parks & Rec”.
Juan Antonio Bayona will direct the first two episodes of Showtime’s PENNY DREADFUL. The project is based in a Victorian-London where famous mythical creatures are real. Bayona is repped by CAA and is the director behind the acclaimed films “The Orphanage” and “The Impossible”.
FX has given the greenlight to the comedy MAN SEEKING WOMAN from Simon Rich. The project is based on Rich’s book “The Last Girlfriend on Earth” and centers on the trials and tribulations of dating in NYC. Rich is repped by CAA.
