Audra McDonald will be featured in a guest role in THE GOOD WIFE. She will play a rival of Alicia (Julianna Margulies), who she met while studying law at Georgetown. McDonald currently stars on ABC’s “Private Practice” and will be featured in the upcoming film “I Fought the Law”. She is repped by WME.
Toni Collette has been tapped to star in the lead role of Jerry Bruckheimer’s HOSTAGES. Collette will play Ellen, a D.C. surgeon whose embroiled in a conspiracy and find her family kidnapped when she performs surgery on the President. The Aussie thesp last starred in Sacha Gervasi’s “Hitchock” and has several projects wrapped including “The Way, Way Back” and “A Long Way Down”. She is repped by WME and Shanahan Management.

Michelle Monaghan has been cast in the upcoming drama TRUE DETECTIVE. The show, which will also star Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, centers on two detectives whose professional lives intertwine as they both hunt the same Louisiana serial killer over the course of seventeen years. Monaghan will play Harrelson’s wife. Monaghan has several films lined up including the comedy “A Many Splintered Thing” and the drama “Fort Bliss”. She is repped by ICM. Also joining the cast are Alexandra Daddario, Elizabeth Reaser, Wood Harris and Michael Potts. Daddario will play a court reporter who develops a relationship with Harrelson. Reaser will play McConaughey’s girlfriend. Both her and Daddario are repped by UTA. Harris and Potts will play a detective duo who also track the serial killer. They are repped by Gersh and Blue Ridge Entertainment respectively.

NBC has tapped Christina Kirk to star in their comedy pilot THE GATES. Based on a British series of the same name, the project revolves around the fifteen minutes of social chaos at the beginning and end of the school day at an elementary school. Kirk will play Sarah, a bored stay-at-home mom who starts hitting on the husband of her friend Helen (Kathleen Rose Perkins). Kirk has had past roles in “The Good Wife” and “Law & Order” and will star in the drama pic “The Limbo Room”. She is repped by Phoenix Artists.
Jessica De Gouw will play the female lead alongside Jonathan Rhys in DRACULA. The project sees Rhys playing Dracula, who comes to the United States posing as a businessman, with real intents to destroy the country. Instead, he falls in love with a woman (De Gouw) who reminds him of his late wife. De Gouw currently stars on the CW’s “Arrow”. She is repped by RGM Artist Group.
