Teresa Palmer and Austin Stowell have entered negotiations, and Jeff Daniels has entered talks to join Liam Hemsworth and an already in-talks Aimee Teegarden in the upcoming drama AWOL. The film, which takes place in 1969, centers on a soldier in Vietnam who deserts his post, with a friend, in order to to win back the hometown girl who dumped him. Hemsworth is attached to play the friend ‘Mickey Wright’.
Palmer, who was last seen in “Take Me Home Tonight” and “I Am Number Four” is currently attached to star in the upcoming “Mad Max 4” and the zombie romancer “Warm Bodies”. She is in talks for the role of ‘Candace’.
Stowell is a fresh face in Hollywood, having bounced across several TV series over the past year, with a lead role in the series “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”. He is in final talks for the leading role of ‘Dalton Joiner’.
Daniels, who was last seen in the James Franco film “Howl” has just recently wrapped production on the Rian Johnson-helmed time-travel thriller “Looper”. He is circling the role of ‘Captain Sinclair’.
