Emmy-winning actor Ty Burrell has been tapped for Sony’s forthcoming R-rated comedy ROCK THAT BODY. Burrell is set to join the A-list cast of Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, Zoe Kravitz, and Demi Moore.
Co-written by Paul W. Downs and Lucia Aniello, the movie follows five friends who head to Miami for a bachelorette weekend that ends up going completely out of control. Aniello is also set to direct while Downs is set to star. The duo will also produce under their Paulilu production banner alongside Matt Tolmach and Dave Becky.
Burrell is primarily known for his role in the ABC sitcom Modern Family. He recently lent his voice to the Pixar pic Finding Dory and can be heard in the upcoming animated feature Storks.
