Tye Sheridan has joined the cast of David Gordon Green’s drama JOE opposite Nicolas Cage.
Story follows an ex-con (Cage) who becomes a role model for a fifteen year old boy (Sheridan) who comes from a homeless family led by an abusive alcoholic father. The pic is based on novel of the same name by Larry Brown.
Producing will be David Gordon Green, Lisa Muskat, Christopher Woodrow and Derrick Tseng. Shooting will take place in Austin, TX late october.
Sheridan is a relative newcomer with his only complete work hailing from another Austin, Tx production Malick’s “Tree of Life”. Also up next for him is the drama “Mud” which has already wrapped.
