Rob Thomas has signed an overall deal with Warner Brothers Television, which will allow him to create original content under his Spondoolie Productions moniker. Along with his work on his series iZombie, which was recently picked up for a second season, Thomas will continue to collaborate with his Veronica Mars producers Danielle Stokdyk and Dan Etheridge on future Spondoolie projects. The deal will also involve Thomas overseeing other writers and series creators for the studio.
Best known for creating Veronica Mars, Thomas was also behind the 90210 reboot in 2008, which ran for five seasons. He produced the Starz series Party Down, which starred Adam Scott and Lizzy Caplan, and has written a hefty number of episodes for each of his series, in addition to writing and directing the 2014 Veronica Mars film.
Thomas is repped by UTA.
